Qualifications

Responsibilities

Job Description Site Quantity Surveyor

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Site Quantity Surveyor to manage quantity estimation, measurement, billing, cost monitoring, and commercial activities at the project site. The candidate will coordinate closely with the Project Manager, Site Engineers, Contractors, Consultants, and Accounts team to ensure accurate measurements, timely billing, and effective cost control.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and verify quantity take-offs, BOQs, and detailed measurements as per drawings and specifications.
• Take measurements of executed works at site and maintain Measurement Books (MB) and measurement records.
• Prepare, check, and certify contractor/subcontractor bills based on actual site measurements.
• Verify quantities against approved drawings, BOQ, work orders, and actual site execution.
• Monitor material consumption, wastage, and reconciliation for major construction materials.
• Prepare work orders, variation statements, extra-item statements, and rate analysis.
• Track project quantities and costs against the approved BOQ and budget.
• Coordinate with the site team to ensure proper documentation of executed works.
• Check contractor claims and supporting documents before processing payments.
• Assist in preparing monthly billing, cost reports, and project MIS.
• Identify quantity variations and cost implications and report them to the Project Manager/QS Manager.
• Maintain proper records of RA bills, measurements, invoices, work orders, and supporting documents.
• Coordinate with consultants and contractors regarding measurement and billing-related issues.
• Support final measurement and final account settlement with contractors.
• Ensure all commercial documentation is maintained accurately and systematically.
• Conduct regular site visits to verify actual work quantities and progress.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of quantity surveying and construction measurements.
• Good understanding of BOQ, rate analysis, billing, and quantity reconciliation.
• Knowledge of Civil, Structural, and Finishing works.
• Ability to read and interpret civil, architectural, and structural drawings.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is preferred.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills.
• Good coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently at the project site and meet billing deadlines.

Qualification

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.

Preferred Experience

Experience in residential, commercial, or high-rise construction projects will be preferred.
