Job Summary
Executive - Quantity Surveying (QS) is responsible for coordinating and executing quantity surveying and project commercial activities for commercial interior fit-out projects. The role involves quantity take-offs, billing verification, cost monitoring, budget tracking, subcontractor bill certification, and commercial reporting. The position works closely with project execution, procurement, contracts, and finance teams to ensure accurate cost control, timely billing, and effective commercial management throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed quantity take-offs from project drawings and specifications.
- Verify site measurements and quantities executed for civil, interior, and finishing works.
- Prepare and maintain Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and quantity reconciliation statements.
- Monitor project costs against approved budgets and report commercial variances.
- Verify and certify subcontractor and vendor bills based on actual work completion.
- Support preparation and submission of client billing documentation.
- Track project commercial performance and maintain cost control records.
- Conduct material reconciliation and monitor quantity consumption.
- Coordinate with project teams for measurement verification and commercial updates.
- Prepare periodic MIS reports related to project costs, billing, and profitability.
- Assist in evaluation and documentation of variation orders and change requests.
- Ensure compliance with project commercial procedures and company policies.
- Maintain project commercial records and documentation.
- Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
Experience
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in Quantity Surveying.
- Experience in Commercial Interior Fit-Out projects is mandatory.
- Experience in billing, cost control, quantity estimation, and subcontractor management.
- Exposure to civil, finishing, and interior works.
- Experience in handling project commercial documentation and reporting.
