Job summary

Smartworks in Bengaluru seeks a qualified Quantity Surveyor to lead interior fit-out cost estimation, budgeting and procurement. You will prepare BOQs from drawings, ensure timely releases, and negotiate with suppliers to maximize value.

You will work closely with designers, project managers, and contractors to ensure the project meets specifications and stays on schedule while maintaining cost control and compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in quantity surveying for interior fit-out.
• Strong knowledge of cost estimation.
• Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor management.
• Excellent numerical skills with attention to detail.
• Familiar with software like Microsoft Office, CAD, Buildx.

Responsibilities

• Prepare BOQ with drawings and detailed specifications including cost estimation.
• Budget and detail cost estimates for interior fit-out projects.
• Ensure BOQ is released within the given timelines.
• Conduct site visits to assess conditions and quality of bought-out items.
• Prepare BOQ tracker and share within target timelines.
• Oversee procurement for materials and services; negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Coordinate with vendors to learn about new materials and propose them to designers.
• Collaborate with designers, project managers and contractors to meet design specs and timelines.
• Maintain records in Buldix; ensure BOQs are released in Buildx.
• Manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors; ensure compliance.
• Monitor costs and implement cost-control measures.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and industry best practices.
• Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts for projects.

Designation: Quantity Surveyor

Department : Design

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Preparing BOQ as per the Drawing with Detail specification including Cost Estimation and
• Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates for interior fit-out projects. Ensuring accurate quantity
• and Details done as per the drawing shared by the Designers
• To Ensure the BOQ to be released by the given timelines
• Timely Site visits shall be made to understand the site condition and to check the Quality of Bought
• out items as per the BOQ
• Prepare BOQ Tracker and Ensure the BOQ is shared with in the Target timelines
• Oversee the procurement process for materials and services required for the fit-out. Negotiate with
• suppliers and subcontractors to achieve the best value.
• Coordinating with Vendor to know the new material Available in Market, Basic Negotiation to be
• done and to have a better Vendor Management to propose the new material to designers
• Collaboration: Work closely with Designers, project managers and contractors to ensure that the fitout meets design specifications and to be completed on time
• Maintain Accurate Records and Folders for the projects in Buldix software, All the BOQ shall be
• released in Buildx software
• Contract Management: Manage contracts with suppliers, and subcontractors. Ensure compliance
• with contract terms and handle any disputes or changes.
• Cost Control: Monitor project costs and expenditures throughout the fit-out process. Implement cost
• control measures to prevent budget overruns.
• Compliance: Ensure that all fit-out work complies with relevant regulations, standards, and industry
• best practices.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare regular financial reports and forecasts. Track project performance and
• provide updates

Qualification/Skills

• Experience In Quantity Surveying for interior fit out
• Strong Knowledge of cost estimation
• Knowledge of Procurement Process and Vendor Management
• Excellent numerical Skills with Attention and Skill
• Better Skills for Software like Microsoft, Cad , Buildx
