Job summary

Indecimal (Hexindecimal Services Pvt. Ltd.) is seeking an experienced Interior Quantity Surveyor in Bengaluru to manage BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and commercial controls for interior fit-out projects.

The candidate should have 5+ years in Quantity Surveying, including 3+ years in interior projects, with strong Excel and AutoCAD skills and a proven ability to coordinate across design, procurement, and site teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of overall experience in Quantity Surveying
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in Interior Quantity Surveying / Interior Fit-Out projects
• Strong knowledge of interior construction materials, methods, and finishing works
• Proficiency in MS Excel and quantity surveying/commercial tools
• Knowledge of AutoCAD for reading and interpreting drawings
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Good communication and coordination skills

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs for interior fit-out projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to identify quantities and scope
• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project drawings and specifications
• Conduct rate analysis for materials, labour, and various interior works
• Ensure accuracy of quantities and rates in BOQs
• Monitor project costs against approved budgets and BOQs
• Track material, labour, and subcontractor costs throughout the project
• Identify cost variations and provide timely updates to the project team
• Assist in maintaining project budgets and ensuring cost-effective execution
• Prepare cost comparison statements and commercial reports
• Prepare and verify RA bills, subcontractor billing, and work completion measurements
• Verify quantities executed at site against approved drawings and BOQs
• Check invoices and supporting documents before processing payments
• Maintain proper records of measurements, bills, variations, and approvals
• Identify and document additional works, omissions, and scope changes
• Prepare variation statements and change-order proposals
• Coordinate with project and design teams to obtain necessary approvals
• Ensure all variations are properly documented and commercially evaluated
• Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Interior Designers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Vendors, and Finance teams
• Review design changes and assess their impact on project cost and quantities
• Participate in project review meetings and provide commercial inputs
• Conduct regular site visits to verify actual work progress and quantities

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor - Interior & Fit-out works to manage the commercial and quantity surveying aspects of interior fit-out projects. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in BOQ preparation, quantity take-offs, rate analysis, cost estimation, billing, subcontractor management, and project cost control, especially in interior projects.

Key Responsibilities

Quantity Estimation & BOQ

• Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and BOQs for interior fit-out projects
• Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to identify quantities and scope
• Prepare detailed cost estimates based on project drawings and specifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience in commercial interiors, residential interiors, office fit-outs, retail, hospitality, or turnkey interior projects will be preferred.
