Job summary

Purview Services in Pune is seeking an experienced QA Analyst to strengthen software quality across web and API platforms. You will work with cross-functional teams to define test strategies and ensure robust releases.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years of QA experience in Agile environments, proficiency in Python scripting, and hands-on test automation with Cypress, Playwright or Selenium, plus API testing tools like Postman and Pytest.

Qualifications

• At least 6+ years of QA experience in an Agile SDLC.
• Knowledge of ISTQB FL.
• Experience designing manual testing for web apps and REST APIs.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Hands-on experience with Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium WebDriver.
• Familiar with API testing tools like Postman, Pytest, REST Assured.
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI).
• Experience with cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).
• Experience with QTest or Tricentis.
• Strong debugging, documentation and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advise teams on testing best practices and quality strategies.
• Design and execute manual tests for web applications and REST APIs.
• Triage bugs by analyzing application logs and issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high quality releases.
• Contribute to test automation scripting using Python.

Job Description

• Hand on experience as a consultant working independently to advise teams on how to adopt testing best practice
• Knowledge of ISTQB FL
• 3+ years experience working as a QA engineer within an agile Software Development team for at least three years; with relevant industry certification
• 3+ years of experience in designing manual testing for Web application and REST API associated with 3rd parties
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and test automation
• Hands-on experience with front-end testing frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium WebDriver
• Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman, Pytest, or REST Assured
• Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI)
• Experience working with Cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure, etc)
• Experience working with QTest/Tricentis tools
• Ability to identify exceptions in application logs and perform an initial triage for managing bugs and tests
• Understanding of modern web architecture and JavaScript frameworks (React/Angular/Vue)
• Excellent debugging, documentation, and communication skills
