Bloomingdale International School in Penamaluru, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh invites applications for an IB PYP Homeroom Teacher to lead primary learners through inquiry-based, student-centered experiences in a nurturing classroom.

The candidate should have a Bachelor's or Master’s in a relevant field, with a B.Ed preferred, and strong English communication. Relocation to Vijayawada is welcome for this full-time, in-person role.

Bloomingdale International School is looking for a passionate and enthusiastic IB PYP Homeroom Teacher to join our academic team at our Penamaluru, Vijayawada campus.

Position Details:

Position: IB PYP Homeroom Teacher / Primary Teacher

School: Bloomingdale International School

Location: Penamaluru, Vijayawada, Andhra Pradesh

Employment: Full-time | In-person

What You’ll Do:

• Plan and facilitate engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences for primary students.
• Create a positive, inclusive, and child-centered classroom environment.
• Encourage students to question, explore, collaborate, reflect, and take ownership of their learning.
• Integrate IB PYP principles, transdisciplinary learning, ATL skills, key concepts, and learner profile attributes into classroom practice.
• Use differentiated teaching strategies to support diverse learning needs.
• Monitor student progress through formative and summative assessment and provide meaningful feedback.
• Maintain appropriate student records, portfolios, learning documentation, and classroom displays.
• Build positive relationships with students and support their academic, social, and emotional development.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress and well-being.
• Collaborate with teachers, subject specialists, coordinators, and school leadership.
• Participate in school events, professional development, field trips, exhibitions, assemblies, and other academic activities.

What We’re Looking For:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant discipline.
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification is preferred.
• Experience teaching Primary / Elementary students.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Passion for inquiry-based, experiential, and student-centered learning.
• Good classroom management and interpersonal skills.Ability to plan, organize, collaborate, and adapt to different learning needs.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow professionally.

IB Experience

Prior IB PYP experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Teachers from CBSE, ICSE, Cambridge, IGCSE, or other recognized school curricula with strong Primary teaching experience and an interest in IB education are also encouraged to apply.

IB PYP training/certification will be an added advantage.
