Qualifications

• Strong programming knowledge in Python and Java.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging Computer Science lessons aligned with IB MYP/DP.

• Lead hands-on coding labs, projects and real-world tasks.
• Support DP students with Internal Assessments and external exams.
• Guide development of research, analytical, and computational skills.
• Differentiate instruction to meet diverse learners' needs.
• Integrate inquiry-based learning and ATL IB skills into lessons.
• Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects with Maths/Physics.
• Use digital tools and tech to enhance learning and assess progress.
• Maintain accurate academic records and communicate with parents.

About the Role

Are you passionate about Computer Science, coding, technology, and inquiry-based learning?

We are looking for a dynamic and innovative MYP & DP Computer Science Teacher who can inspire students through practical coding, computational thinking, problem-solving, and real-world applications.

The ideal candidate will have experience with the IB MYP and/or DP framework, strong programming skills, and the ability to create engaging, concept-driven learning experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver engaging and rigorous Computer Science lessons aligned with the IB MYP and DP curriculum.
• Teach programming, computational thinking, algorithms, problem-solving, and other relevant Computer Science concepts.
• Conduct hands-on coding activities, programming labs, projects, and real-world problem-solving tasks.
• Prepare and support DP students with Internal Assessments and external examinations.
• Guide students in developing strong research, analytical, computational, and problem-solving skills.
• Use differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs and abilities.
• Integrate inquiry-based learning, ATL skills, and IB Learner Profile attributes into classroom practice.
• Encourage interdisciplinary connections between Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, and other subject areas where appropriate.
• Use appropriate digital tools, platforms, simulations, and educational technologies to enhance learning.
• Assess student learning using appropriate IB assessment criteria and provide constructive feedback.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and learning needs.
• Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects, events, and school initiatives.
• Participate in professional development and stay updated with IB practices, Computer Science education, and emerging technologies.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Applications, or a related field.
• B.Ed., PGDIE, CIDTL, or equivalent teaching qualification preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in IB MYP/DP or an equivalent international curriculum.
• Strong knowledge of Computer Science concepts and programming.
• Proficiency in Python, Java, or other relevant programming languages.
• Ability to teach through practical, conceptual, inquiry-based, and project-based approaches.
• Strong understanding of assessment, differentiation, and student-centered learning.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills.

IB Experience & Curriculum

Experience with IB MYP and/or DP Computer Science is preferred.

Candidates with relevant Computer Science teaching experience from CBSE, ICSE, Cambridge, IGCSE, or other recognized curricula may also be considered, particularly those with strong programming skills and the ability to transition into the IB framework.

Experience in interdisciplinary teaching involving Computer Science, Mathematics, or Physics will be an added advantage.
