Job summary

Bloomingdale International School in Penamaluru, Vijayawada invites a caring IB EYP Homeroom Teacher to join the Early Years team. You will plan inquiry-based learning, create an inclusive classroom culture, and support development across social, emotional, cognitive, and language domains.

Ideal candidates hold a degree in Education/ECED or equivalent, with English communication strength and a passion for holistic development. Relocation encouraged for those outside Vijayawada.

IB EYP Homeroom Teacher | Early Years Teacher

Bloomingdale International School is looking for a caring, enthusiastic, and committed IB EYP Homeroom Teacher to join our Early Years academic team at our Penamaluru, Vijayawada campus.

Position: IB EYP Homeroom Teacher / Early Years Teacher

What You'll Do

• Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate and inquiry-based learning experiences for young learners.
• Create a safe, caring, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
• Encourage curiosity, exploration, creativity, communication, and independence.
• Support children's social, emotional, cognitive, physical, and language development.
• Integrate early literacy, numeracy, social-emotional learning, and transdisciplinary experiences into classroom activities.
• Use play-based, experiential, and differentiated teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs.
• Observe and document children's learning, development, and progress.
• Use formative assessment and meaningful feedback to support children's learning.
• Maintain student portfolios, learning documentation, classroom displays, and appropriate records.
• Communicate regularly with parents regarding children's progress, development, and well-being.
• Collaborate with Early Years teachers, subject specialists, coordinators, and school leadership.
• Participate in school events, professional development programmes, IB training, exhibitions, celebrations, and other academic activities.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and engaging learning environment appropriate for young children.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Education, Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Psychology, or a related field.
• B.Ed., D.Ed., Montessori, Early Childhood Education certification, or equivalent teaching qualification will be an advantage.
• Experience working with Early Years / Pre-Primary / Preschool / Kindergarten / Primary learners.
• Strong communication skills in English.
• Good understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching practices.
• Strong classroom management, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for working with young children and supporting their holistic development.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, coordinators, parents, and school leadership.

IB / EYP Experience

Prior IB EYP/PYP experience is preferred but not mandatory.

Teachers with experience in Early Years, Preschool, Kindergarten, Montessori, CBSE, ICSE, Cambridge, or other recognized school curricula are encouraged to apply.

Experience with inquiry-based learning, play-based learning, experiential learning, or child-centered pedagogy will be an added advantage.

IB training or certification will be an added advantage, and opportunities for professional development may be provided.
