Job summary

Dairy Classic Ice Creams Pvt Ltd is seeking a motivated Purchase Officer to procure raw and packaging materials for ice cream production. You will manage MRP, ensure 100% fill rate, coordinate with suppliers, and maintain safety stock while upholding quality and food safety standards.

Key responsibilities include supplier performance evaluation, material planning coordination with Production and QA, and adherence to procurement policies. Prior experience in ERP/SAP environments is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in commerce, logistics, business administration, or related field.
• Proficiency in MS Excel (Intermediate-Advanced).
• Experience with ERP/SCM software SAP MM and WMS.
• 4+ years of procurement experience.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Plan and procure raw and packing materials based on production plans and inventory requirements.
• MRP generation for material planning and PO generation; ensure 100% fill rate & stock accuracy.
• Coordinate with suppliers to address rejections and credits as per TAT.
• Maintain balance between demand and supplies for sales and planning needs.
• Maintain safety stock and prevent stockouts through verification and documentation.
• Ensure timely procurement of milk, cream, other ingredients and packaging materials.
• Build and sustain strong supplier relationships for uninterrupted supply.
• Evaluate supplier performance on quality, delivery, cost and service levels.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, QA and Finance for smooth operations.
• Monitor inventory to avoid shortages or overstocking; support MRP activities.
• Coordinate with QA for incoming material inspections and ensure compliance with quality standards.

SUMMARY

Dairy Classic Ice Creams Pvt Ltd is seeking a highly motivated purchase officer is responsible for procuring and

ensuring the timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials required for ice cream production.

The role involves vendor management, purchase order processing, cost optimization, inventory coordination,

and ensuring compliance with quality, food safety, and company procurement policies.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Procurement & Purchasing

• Plan and procure raw and packing materials based on production plans and inventory requirements.
• MRP generation of all SKUs for material planning as well as for P.O generation. Ensuring 100% Fill rate & Zero Stock out.
• Follow up with suppliers for all rejections as happened due to any Non-compliance, to generate RTV in SAP against Credit/Debit Note as per TAT.
• Responsible for maintaining balance in demand and supplies with the requirement from sales to material planning and supplies from the vendor to inventory control.
• Maintaining the safety stock of all SKUs without any variance by conducting stock verification and documentation to avoid any dispatch failure and stock out.
• Ensure timely procurement of milk, cream, skimmed milk powder, butter, sugar, cocoa, stabilizers, emulsifiers, Flavors, fruit pulps, nuts, chocolate, and other ingredients.
• Procure packaging materials such as cups, tubs, cones, wrappers, cartons, lids, spoons, labels, and shrink films.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, delivery, cost and service levels.

Inventory & Production Coordination

• Coordinate with Production Planning, Stores, QA, and Finance departments.
• Monitor inventory levels to avoid stock shortages and overstocking.
• Ensure availability of critical materials during peak production seasons.
• Support material requirement planning (MRP) activities.

Quality & Compliance

• Coordinate with the Quality Assurance team for incoming material inspections.
• Ensure purchased materials comply with FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, ISO and company quality standards.
• Follow FEFO/FIFO practices for inventory management.
• Resolve supplier quality issues and coordinate corrective actions

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENT

Academic

• Bachelors degree in commerce, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Key Competencies:

• Proficiency in MS Excel ("Intermediate to Advance level")
• Experience with ERP and SCM softwares SAP MM & WMS (Warehouse Management System)
• 4+ years of experience in purchase.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
