Job summary

Dadus is seeking a Purchase Executive to support procurement for FMCG manufacturing, ensuring timely sourcing of raw materials, packaging, and consumables. You will coordinate with vendors, process POs, monitor inventory, and negotiate costs to maintain uninterrupted production.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of experience in purchase/procurement in FMCG manufacturing.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
  • Diploma/Certification in Materials Management or Supply Chain preferred.
  • Experience in raw material and packaging procurement preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Handle day-to-day procurement activities for raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, and indirect purchases.
  • Generate and process Purchase Orders (POs) based on approved purchase requisitions.
  • Ensure timely procurement to avoid production interruptions.
  • Compare quotations and prepare comparative statements for supplier evaluation.
  • Follow up with suppliers for timely deliveries.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers/vendors.
  • Coordinate with vendors regarding pricing, delivery schedules, and quality issues.
  • Assist in identifying and developing new vendors.
  • Maintain updated vendor database and records.
  • Monitor stock levels and coordinate with stores and production teams.
  • Ensure optimum inventory levels to avoid shortages or excess stock.
  • Track slow-moving and non-moving inventory items.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules with vendors.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives and alternate sourcing activities.
  • Analyze market rates and material cost trends.
  • Maintain procurement records, purchase files, and contracts.
  • Update purchase transactions in ERP/SAP systems.
  • Ensure proper documentation for audits and compliance.
  • Work closely with Production, QA, Stores, Planning, and Finance departments.
  • Coordinate material requirements according to production plans.
  • Resolve procurement-related issues promptly.
  • Ensure procured materials meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Follow company procurement policies and statutory compliance requirements.
  • Support ISO/GMP/FSSC documentation and audit requirements.
  • Prepare daily/weekly/monthly purchase reports.
  • Track pending orders, supplier performance, and delivery status.
  • Maintain records of price comparisons and procurement savings.

Job Summary
