Job summary

Aquagri Processing in Tamil Nadu seeks a Procurement Manager to oversee electrical, mechanical spares, and packaging material procurement for its agri/food products manufacturing. You will analyze markets, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost reductions while ensuring quality standards.

Responsibilities include vendor selection, contract development, and coordinating with stores to manage inventories.

Qualifications

• Proficient in spoken and written English; local language ability.

• MS Office and SAP experience.
• Knowledge of Import and Domestic Procurement management.
• Experience with ISO 9001 & 14001 quality systems.
• Good time management and prioritization.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for Electrical, Mechanical machine spares, domestic RMs for Agri / Food Products manufacturing and packaging materials.
• Analyze market and delivery systems for material availability.
• Analyze purchase price variances and initiate corrective actions.
• Plan, develop, and procure materials, parts, supplies and equipments; reduce purchase cost.
• Develop specifications for equipment, products or substitute materials.
• Locate new vendors and negotiate terms and conditions.
• Develop supplier agreements and contracts; ensure policy adherence.
• Review and approve specifications for POs and work orders.
• Resolve vendor grievances with HOD.
• Coordinate with stores for material storage; review purchase orders and contracts.
• Ensure all paperwork is up to date and properly recorded.

Job description

Job Profile :

• Responsible for Electrical, Mechanical machine spares, domestic RMs needed for Agri / Food Products manufacturing, Imported RMs, Packaging materials like cartons, bottles, sleeves,bags, buckets etc, developing packaging material & art work in coordination with Marketing and R&D, suppliers.
• Analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability.
• Analyze Purchase Price variances and initiate corrective actions.
• Plan, develop, and procure materials, parts, supplies and equipments in a timely and cost effective manner; maintain appropriate quality standards and specifications. Reduce Purchase cost.
• Participate in the development of specifications for equipments, products or substitute materials.
• Locate new vendors & suppliers of materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability & terms.
• Support with Developping agreements and contracts with suppliers wherever necessary and support in creation of policies and procedures connected
• Review, evaluate, and approve specifications for issuing and awarding pos and work orders
• Resolve vendor or contractor grievances and claims against suppliers in with the HOD.
• Coordination activities with stores for storing materials, equipments, machinery and supplies.
• Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy.
• Ensure all statutory and company required paperwork is up to date through effective record keeping and organization.

Desired Candidate Profile :

• Proficient in spoken and written English, Hindi (optional) and the Local Language.
• Ability to travel extensively locally
• Proficient in MS Office and ideally SAP or similar applications.
• Good knowledge and understanding of Import and Domestic Procurement management.
• Experience in handling ISO 9001 & 14001 Quality Management Systems.
• Good time management skills with the ability to prioritize projects and process multiple tasks as required.
• Good commercial acumen, self-driven and motivated, results-oriented with a positive outlook, and a clear focus on company goals and objectives.
• Focused, process oriented with a keen attention to details and strong analytical ability.
