Job summary

Lava International seeks an experienced procurement professional to manage domestic BOM component sourcing for manufacturing. You will build strong supplier relationships, collaborate with engineering to qualify new vendors, and ensure timely delivery while optimizing costs.

You will work with production, quality, and finance teams to ensure seamless operations, compliance, and smooth imports. Attention to detail and negotiation skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in domestic procurement of mechanical BOM components in manufacturing.
• Strong negotiation and supplier relationship-building abilities.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Knowledge of procurement best practices and contract management.
• Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Procure Mechanical BOM components from domestic suppliers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with domestic vendors for quality material, timely delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering to identify and qualify new suppliers for Electrical/Mechanical parts.
• Monitor inventory levels and optimize stock with inventory team.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in procurement.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and finance for seamless operations.
• Check and approve invoices and documents during import purchases.
• Coordinate with finance for fund allotment and transfers per production plan.
• Verify BL No. and PL and align for all import shipments.
• Implement strategies to improve procurement efficiency and reduce costs.
• Prepare and present supplier performance/rating reports.
• Coordinate with sourcing on new developments for smooth operations.

Role & responsibilities

• Procure Mechanical Bill of Materials (BOM) components from domestic suppliers.
• Develop and maintain relationships with domestic vendors to ensure quality material timely.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to identify and qualify new suppliers for Electrical/Mechanical components.
• Monitor inventory levels and work with the inventory management team to optimize stock levels.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements related to procurement.
• Collaborate with other departments such as production, quality control, and finance to support seamless operations.
• Checking and approving invoices and other documents during import purchase.
• Coordinate with the finance team for fund allotment and fund transfer to the supplier as per the production plan.
• Checking BL No. & PL and aligning for all import shipments.
• Implement strategies to improve procurement processes, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
• Prepare and present supplier performance/Rating report.
• Coordinate with sourcing team regarding new developments for smooth operations.
• Coordinate with finance team for regular supplier reconciliation.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.

- Proven experience in domestic procurement of mechanical BOM components in a manufacturing environment.

- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain supplier relationships.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

- Knowledge of procurement best practices, contract management, and supply chain processes.

- Proficiency in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
