Job summary

Medha Servo Drives in Hyderabad, India is seeking an experienced procurement professional specializing in mechanical components for manufacturing and heavy engineering.

You will source, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors, issue POs, coordinate with design and production teams, and drive cost reduction initiatives. ERP/SAP procurement experience and strong negotiation skills are essential; GST/Incoterms knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• 5+ or more years of experience in procurement for manufacturing, heavy engineering, automotive, railways, or industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure mechanical components, fabricated parts, castings, forgings, machined components, sheet metal parts, fasteners, bearings, valves, hydraulics, and pneumatic items.
• Float RFQs to suppliers and evaluate techno-commercial offers.
• Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and contracts with vendors.
• Prepare comparative statements and recommend suppliers based on cost, quality, and delivery.
• Issue Purchase Orders and ensure timely material availability.
• Coordinate with design, production, quality, stores, and planning teams to meet manufacturing schedules.
• Develop new vendors and qualify alternate sources for critical components.
• Monitor supplier performance on quality, delivery, and responsiveness.
• Resolve supply issues and expedite delayed deliveries.
• Ensure procurement complies with company policies and quality standards.
• Support cost reduction and value engineering initiatives.
