Lenze Mechatronics in Pune (Khed) seeks a Purchase Executive Imports to manage end-to-end procurement for imported materials, ensuring timely availability and cost optimization while coordinating with suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs.

The role requires 3–6 years in procurement and at least 2 years in import activities, with knowledge of Incoterms, ERP systems, and strong negotiation skills; you will work within a cross-functional team to ensure regulatory compliance and smooth

Qualifications

  • 3-6 years of experience in Procurement/Purchasing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience handling import procurement activities.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, engineering, automotive, or machinery industries preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Diploma/Certification in Import-Export Management will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Execute purchase orders for imported materials as per production and business requirements.
  • Coordinate with overseas suppliers for quotations, order confirmations, shipment schedules, and documentation.
  • Negotiate pricing, lead times, payment terms, and delivery schedules. Monitor supplier performance related to quality, cost, and delivery.
  • Maintain strong relationships with global suppliers to ensure uninterrupted supply.
  • Handle end-to-end import procurement processes from RFQ to material receipt.
  • Track shipments and ensure on-time deliveries.
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, CHA (Custom House Agents), shipping lines, and logistics providers.
  • Review and verify import documentation such as: Commercial Invoice, Packing List, Bill of Lading / Airway Bill, Certificate of Origin, Insurance Documents, Import Licenses (if applicable).
  • Ensure compliance with import regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
  • Support customs clearance activities and resolve documentation-related issues.
  • Monitor changes in DGFT, Customs, and international trade regulations.
  • Maintain records for audits and statutory compliance.
  • Coordinate with planning, production, stores, and logistics teams to ensure material availability.
  • Monitor inventory levels and initiate procurement actions to avoid stock-outs.
  • Follow up on open purchase orders and expedite critical shipments.

Position :- Purchase Executive Imports

Job Purpose

To manage procurement activities related to imported materials, components, and equipment, ensuring timely availability of goods, cost optimization, compliance with import regulations, and smooth coordination with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement & Supplier Management

  • Execute purchase orders for imported materials as per production and business requirements.

ERP & Documentation
  • Create and manage purchase orders in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate procurement records, supplier databases, and import documentation.
  • Prepare procurement and import status reports.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Commerce, Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Diploma/Certification in Import-Export Management will be an added advantage.
Experience
  • 3-6 years of experience in Procurement/Purchasing.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience handling import procurement activities.
  • Experience in manufacturing, industrial automation, engineering, automotive, or machinery industries preferred.

Understanding of Incoterms (EXW, FCA, FOB, CFR, CIF, DDP, etc.). Understanding of import documentation and customs clearance procedures.

Good knowledge of MS Excel and reporting tools.
