• Cost Reduction: Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through supplier negotiations, alternate sourcing, value engineering and PHR implementation.
• Supplier Performance & Reliability: Ensure supplier adherence to delivery commitments, quality standards and engineering requirements; continuously improve supplier performance.
• Organizational Imperatives: Drive ongoing improvements in procurement and material planning processes to reduce lead times.

Job Profile:

The incumbent will be responsible for the following Purchase related activities:

1. Material Availability
   • - Ensuring uninterrupted material availability for plant and service requirements through TOC process.
   • - Monitoring Buffer Penetration Report and driving actions for Red & Black items.
   • - Ensuring timely delivery of MTO items and implementing POOGI improvements.
2. Alternate Vendor Development
   • - Identifying, evaluating, onboarding and developing alternate vendors following SEM process.
   • - Building reliable supplier base aligned with automotive practices and engineering standards.
3. Bottom-Up Costing & Price Finalization
   • - Performing detailed cost analysis during price finalization.
   • - Tracking commodity trends and assessing fabrication costs, machine hour rates and labor costs across sourcing regions.
4. Cost Reduction
   • - Identifying and implementing cost reduction opportunities through supplier negotiations, alternate sourcing, value engineering and PHR implementation.
5. Supplier Performance & Reliability
   • - Ensuring supplier adherence to delivery commitments, quality standards and engineering requirements.
