Job Description

-The incumbent would be responsible for the following:

• 1.New Product Development -Experiencing in product design -Using of Creo 3D modeling software and Windchill PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) system effectively to ensure CAD (Computer aided design) driven BOM (Bills of Management) -Using of PLM driven NPI (New Product Introduction) process to release new design and manage design changes -Selecting correct material and processes. -Creating static and dynamic load cases for FEA -Ensuring timely contribution to achieve NPI and product development goals
• 2. Cost Competitiveness -Interacting with vendors and Partners for selection of right aggregates / services. -Benchmarking with competing and allied products. -Keeping track of BOM cost for the module and key aggregates. -Initiating/ participating in value engineering/ PMO cost saving projects and ensuring timely completion.
• 3.Customer Satisfaction -Calculations for ensuring life and reliability of structural members. -Resolving customer/field complaints through ECR (Engineering Change Request) and ECN (Engineering Change Notice) route with appropriate CAPA
• 4.Effective Communication and Leadership -Defining test procedure for physical / endurance validation -Standardization of child components across platform -Minimize variety of plate thicknesses -Optimize nesting efficiency -Functional study and optimization of process. -RTS/PAA / DFMEA
• 5. Organizational Imperatives - Managing all design activities and establishing best practices for changing management processes/policies to improve operational efficiencies. - Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. - Ensuring Organizational Initiatives - Integrated Management system, Kaizen, Risk Mitigation, Good & Green etc.

Qualification Details

Essential Qualification :

Degree / Diploma in Engineering (Mechanical/Production/Automobile) with knowledge of Solid Modeling and PLM system

Preferred Qualification :

ME/ MTech in Mechanical Engg ( Design / Robotics/ Mechatronics)

Experience Details

Essential Experience :

2 years of relevant work experience for Degree in Engineering OR 4 years of relevant work experience for Diploma in Engineering

Essential :

• 1.Proficiency in Creo, Windchill PLM and ERP system.
• 2.Expertise in design tools viz. PMXU/PUGH matrix/ Design variation analysis / Digital mock-up study
• 3.Knowledge of Indian / International standards relevant to industrial trucks.
• 4.Expertise in ergonomics and cabin design of off-road trucks.
• 5.Expertise in structural design in construction machinery / Free Body Diagram / Load cases to virtual analysis.
