Job summary

Qualifications

• Essential qualifications include Diploma in Engineering / ITI /NCTVT or Graduate in any discipline.
• Experience requirements: 2 years for Diploma, 3 years for Graduate, 8 years for NCTVT, or 10 years for ITI.
• Experience in service of industrial products like MHE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Generate service business by attending technical jobs at customer sites and supporting spare parts sales.
• Enhance customer satisfaction with fast response, reliable service, and long-term relationships; provide remote technical assistance as needed.
• Identify recurring product issues, salvage and reuse spare parts, and ensure proper warranty documentation and refunds.
• Train customers’ operators and dealer technicians on upkeep, maintenance, and safety of equipment; educate on new products and benefits.
• Participate in Kaizens and Business Excellence initiatives; adhere to compliance and safe working environment; willingness to travel extensively.

Job Description

1. Generation of Service Business

   • Attend technical jobs like repairs, refurbishing, etc., at customer sites.
   • Work as per GMC / PMC / CMC contract schedules.
   • Support service business by generating sales of genuine spare parts.
   • Salvage spare parts and understand recurring product issues.
   • Recommend new products of the division to customers.
   • Replacement of spares at customer site and return of warranty items to HO for documentation.

2. Enhancing Customer Satisfaction

   • Ensure fast response and quick service (minimum lead time).
   • Build long-term relationships through reliable service.
   • Provide remote technical assistance to dealer technicians as needed.
   • Troubleshooting and repairing of Material Handling equipment.
   • Installation of equipment at customer sites.

3. Reduction of Warranty Cost

   • Identify and understand recurring problems in products.
   • Salvage and reuse spare parts where applicable.
   • Ensure proper accounting and documentation of warranty items returned to HO.
   • Promote use of genuine spares to reduce failure rates.

4. Training Customers- Operators & Dealer Technicians

   • Train customer operators on upkeep, maintenance, and safety of equipment.
   • Educate customers on new products and their benefits.
   • Provide remote technical guidance to dealer technicians.

5. Organizational Imperatives

   • Actively participating and originating Kaizens.
   • Actively involving in Business Excellence initiatives.
   • Adhere to Compliance and Safe Working Environment.

Note: The incumbent must be willing to travel extensively as per job requirements and should hold a valid two-wheeler driving license.
