Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is essential.
• ME/MTech in Mechanical/Structural/Welding Metallurgy is preferred.
• 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in Material Handling Equipment Industry; forklift, cranes, warehousing trucks.
• Proficiency in Creo and Windchill PLM; ERP knowledge.
• Knowledge of Indian/International standards for industrial trucks.
• Strong CAD skills with problem-solving ability.

Job Description

The incumbent would be responsible for the following: 1. Maintain Competitive Edge 1. Maintaining Competitive Edge through Design innovation and improvement2. Generating designs for new products of the business and contributing towards creating competitiveness.3. Maintaining and updating specification/ feature benchmarking of products against competition and conducting Teardown Benchmarking (TDBM) study wherever applicable.4. Defining product specifications with operating and testing parameters for QA/ inspection, leaflets for marketing.5. Ensuring periodic design reviews during proto building and verification/validation.6. Ensuring and maintaining documentation of drawings, bill of materials through Product lifecycle management (PLM) and Enterprise resource planning (ERP).7. Ensuring that the incumbent should be process driven and contributing towards building and maintaining systems. 2. Remain Cost Competitive1. Ensuring target material cost of new products and continuously striving for cost reduction of existing and new products.2. Generating Value analysis and value engineering (VAVE) ideas and design to cost without compromising quality.3. Collaborating with procurement, manufacturing and finance teams to optimize cost.4. Liaising with materials department for selection of suitable material / vendors for product 3. Customer Satisfaction.1. Ensure Customer Satisfaction through Design Excellence.2. Preferred Qualification : ME/ MTech in Mechanical /Structural /Welding Metallurgy

Experience Details

Essential Experience : 4 years of relevant work experience for Degree in Engineering

Preferred Experience : Experience in Material Handling Equipment Industry Exposure to forklift, cranes, warehousing trucks.
