Qualifications

• Graduate / Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or B.Com/BBA.
• 25 years of experience in purchase and procurement.
• Experience in HVAC, electrical, MEP or engineering materials procurement preferred.
• Good knowledge of vendor development, negotiation and quotation comparison.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP/SAP systems.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day purchasing and procurement activities.
• Source materials and identify suitable suppliers and vendors.
• Obtain quotations from vendors and prepare comparative statements.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and release purchase orders after necessary approvals.
• Coordinate with project, engineering, stores and accounts departments.
• Follow up with vendors for timely delivery of materials.
• Verify material specifications, quality and quantities as per purchase requirements.
• Maintain purchase records, vendor details, quotations and purchase orders.
• Monitor pending orders, material shortages and delivery schedules.
• Develop new vendors and maintain good supplier relationships.
• Maintain procurement MIS and purchase reports.
