Job summary

United Control Engineers in Greater Noida, India is seeking a Purchase Engineer / Procurement Engineer to source, evaluate vendors, and manage procurement for electrical components in a manufacturing environment.

Job Overview

• Role: Purchase Engineer / Procurement Engineer
• Experience Required: 3 Years

• Education: B.E. / B.Tech or Diploma in, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Sourcing & Vendor Development: Research, identify, and evaluate potential industrial suppliers and manufacturers. Develop alternative vendor networks for critical raw materials, castings, or engineering components.
• Technical Evaluation: Review engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, and technical specifications to align purchases with project requirements.
• Negotiation & Contracting: Conduct price negotiations, finalize commercial terms, payment terms, and delivery schedules (Incoterms) with vendors.
• Purchase Order Management: Prepare, process, and track Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO) using ERP systems like Busy.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Work closely with production, quality assurance, and R&D teams to prevent shop-floor material shortages and address quality discrepancies.
• Cost & Inventory Control: Monitor inventory levels (DOS/MOS) and perform Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) or cost variance analysis.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Degree or Diploma in Engineering (Electrical).
• Experience: Minimum 1-3 years of hands-on technical purchasing or sourcing experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Technical Competency: Ability to interpret engineering drawings and understand industrial manufacturing processes.
• Software Proficiency: Familiarity with ERP software (Tally) and strong command of Microsoft Excel.
• Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
