Job summary

Kalco Alu-Systems (P) Ltd. in India seeks a Purchase Executive to manage day-to-day procurement and ensure material availability for production. You will source raw materials, evaluate vendors and negotiate terms to support cost efficiency.

The role requires coordinating with Production, Stores, Quality, Planning and Accounts to align material requirements with production schedules and maintain accurate purchase records in ERP.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day purchase and procurement activities as per company requirements.
• Source raw materials, aluminium profiles, hardware, accessories, consumables and other production-related materials.
• Identify and develop new vendors and maintain good relationships with existing suppliers.
• Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements and negotiate price, quality, payment terms and delivery schedules.
• Prepare and process Purchase Orders (POs) and maintain proper purchase documentation.
• Follow up with vendors for timely delivery and ensure material availability as per production requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, Quality, Planning and Accounts for material requirements and pending issues.
• Monitor open POs, delivery schedules, shortages, rejections and replacement materials.
• Evaluate vendors based on quality, cost, delivery and service performance.
• Maintain vendor database, purchase records, quotations, POs, invoices and other procurement documents.
• Support cost-saving initiatives through effective negotiation and alternate vendor development.
• Prepare purchase-related MIS and reports using MS Excel/ERP.
• Resolve discrepancies related to material, pricing, invoices and deliver
