Job summary

Plasma Spray Processors is seeking a Purchase/Purchasing Officer to manage sourcing, vendor negotiations, and procurement processes in the Panvel area. The role requires coordinating with Production, Stores, and Quality to ensure timely availability of materials and compliance with ISO standards.

The ideal candidate will maintain supplier relationships, monitor inventory levels, and prepare regular procurement reports while following company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience in sourcing raw materials, consumables, and engineering items.
• Knowledge of import/export material
• Negotiation skills with suppliers and ability to compare quotations.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure raw materials, consumables, and engineering items per requirements.
• Obtain vendor quotations and negotiate prices, terms, and delivery.
• Prepare and issue POs and ensure timely processing.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores, and Quality for material requirements.
• Track on-time delivery and follow up with suppliers.
• Maintain vendor records and purchase history.
• Verify invoices and related documents.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchases to prevent stockouts.
• Develop relationships with existing and new suppliers and evaluate performance.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly purchase reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and ISO 9001, AS 9100 quality audits.
• Maintain complete documentation of all purchase records.

• Coordinate with Production, Stores, and Quality departments for material requirements.
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
• Maintain vendor records, purchase history, and documentation.
• Verify invoices, delivery challans, and purchase-related documents.
• Monitor inventory levels and initiate purchases to avoid stock shortages.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, cost, and delivery.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly purchase reports for management.
• Ensure compliance with company purchase policies and procurement procedures.
• Maintain complete documentation of all purchase records to comply with ISO 9001, AS 9100 Quality Audit.
• Required good knowledge about Import Export Material

Preferred candidate profile

• Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Office, and Horizon, Zoho, Odoo software
