Project Procurement Manager - Corporate Office
Purpose of the Role
To lead and manage procurement activities for all hospital construction, expansion and renovation projects across the organization. This includes sourcing, tendering, vendor management, cost optimization and ensuring timely delivery of project materials and equipment in line with quality standards, budgets, and timelines.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement of all types of work-contracts for Greenfield, brownfield and retrofit projects for Civil, Finishing, and Architectural & MEP works including floating of enquiry, bid evaluation & award with all terms & conditions in different mode of contract (i.e. supply works, item rate contract & service contract etc.).
- Screening suppliers and negotiating favorable payment terms; monitor suppliers’ performance and ensure contractual obligation & timely delivery of services.
- Plan, procure and deliver all materials for the Projects strictly as per the Project Schedule. Orders complete in all respects with all Terms and conditions delivery dates and protecting the Company’s interest.
- Make comparison of received quotations for rate, quality etc. for analysis and finalization.
- Evaluate vendor quotation to ensure that they are in line with technical and commercial specification required for the project.
- Manage pricing, costing & budgeting.
- Vendor development and maintain record of all vendors and awarded works.
- Daily operational purchasing needs: planning, issuing and following up on purchase order delivery and shipment schedule.
- Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standard, delivery time, and best prices and ensure all criteria are met according to the organizational requirement and expectation.
- Liaise with Project team to plan logistics for procurement goods on time and as per laid down standards and specification.
- Manage sourcing process, including pre‑qualifying suppliers, evaluating supplier response and negotiating with suppliers.
- Contractor claim evaluation, rate analysis, right price evaluation, extra item rate finalization, dispute resolution on contractual terms.
- Identify and source structural, interiors, finishes & MEP contractors for ongoing and new projects.
- Prepare various reports as per management requirement.
Qualifications
- Education: B.E./B.Tech in Civil; MBA/PGDM in Supply Chain or Materials Management preferred.
- Experience: 8–15 years of experience in project procurement, preferably in hospital, healthcare, real estate, or infrastructure sectors.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of EPC contracts, project BOQs, SAP/ERP systems, and project procurement workflows.
- Soft Skills: Strong negotiation, analytical, and coordination skills; ability to work cross‑functionally.
