Job summary

Essar Minmet in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai seeks a Senior Project Leader to drive the DRI project from engineering through commissioning and stabilization. You will oversee engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, coordinating with technology suppliers and EPC contractors to ensure on-time delivery and adherence to safety standards.

Qualifications

• 15-25 years of total professional experience.
• Strong experience in steel, metals, heavy engineering, EPC or large industrial projects.
• Experience in greenfield/brownfield projects will be preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing large multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong EPC contractor and technology supplier management experience.
• Experience in commissioning and plant ramp-up is highly desirable.
• Strong understanding of industrial HSE requirements.
• Willingness to work from Mumbai/Navi Mumbai and travel to project sites as required.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.
• Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects within schedule, budget and quality requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete DRI project execution.
• Manage engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate technology suppliers and EPC contractors.
• Manage process equipment and material handling systems.
• Coordinate gas, cooling, utility and auxiliary systems.
• Review process and equipment design.
• Monitor long-lead equipment procurement.
• Manage construction and erection progress.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Lead commissioning and performance testing.
• Drive achievement of production, metallization, energy and quality targets.

B.E./B.Tech Metallurgy, Chemical, Mechanical or related discipline
