Job summary

Essar Minmet seeks a Senior Project Leader to drive end-to-end EAF project execution from engineering through commissioning and ramp-up. You will own scope, cost and schedule, coordinating EAF technology suppliers and EPC contractors across multidisciplinary teams to deliver on-time performance in a heavy industrial setting.

The role requires 15-25 years of experience in steel/metal projects, strong EPC management and HSE compliance, and willingness to travel to Mumbai/Navi Mumbai project sites

Qualifications

• 15-25 years of total professional experience.
• Strong experience in steel, metals, heavy engineering, EPC or large industrial projects.
• Experience in greenfield/brownfield projects preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead large multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience managing EPC contractors and technology suppliers.
• Experience in commissioning and plant ramp-up is desirable.
• Strong understanding of industrial HSE requirements.
• Willingness to work from Mumbai/Navi Mumbai and travel to project sites.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Own EAF project scope, cost and schedule.
• Coordinate EAF technology supplier and EPC contractors.
• Manage furnace, transformer, electrode and hydraulic systems.
• Coordinate cooling water systems.
• Manage scrap/DRI charging and slag handling interfaces.
• Coordinate fume extraction and dedusting systems.
• Integrate electrical power, automation and process control.
• Monitor procurement of critical equipment.
• Lead construction and erection.
• Manage commissioning and performance testing.
• Coordinate integration with LF and caster.
• Drive targets for tap-to-tap time, energy consumption, electrode consumption and yield.

Role Purpose

Lead complete EAF project execution from engineering and procurement through construction, commissioning and performance stabilization.

Key Responsibilities

• Own EAF project scope, cost and schedule.

• Manage furnace, transformer, electrode and hydraulic systems.
• Coordinate cooling water systems.
• Manage scrap/DRI charging and slag handling interfaces.
