Job summary

Essar Minmet in Mumbai seeks a Senior Electrical, Instrumentation and Automation Leader to drive engineering for ISP projects, overseeing design, reviews, and cross-disciplinary coordination to ensure safety, reliability, and on-time delivery.

The candidate should have 15–25 years in steel/industrial EPC settings, with strong team leadership and hands-on experience with DCS/SCADA, transformers, and substations. Travel to project sites will be required.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics or Automation Engineering.
• 15–25 years total professional experience.
• Strong experience in steel, metals, heavy engineering, EPC or large industrial projects.
• Experience in greenfield/brownfield projects preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing large multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong EPC contractor and technology supplier management experience.
• Willingness to work from Mumbai/Navi Mumbai and travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering and instrumentation design.
• Review electrical load lists, SLDs and power distribution systems.
• Review transformers, substations, MCCs, PCCs, VFDs and UPS systems.
• Coordinate DCS, PLC, SCADA, ESD and automation systems.
• Review cable schedules, routing, earthing and lightning protection.
• Review vendor technical documentation.
• Coordinate FAT, SAT and commissioning.
• Manage interfaces with process, mechanical and civil disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with electrical safety and statutory standards.
