Job summary

Essar Minmet in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai seeks a Senior Project Leader to own end-to-end PLTCM delivery from engineering through commissioning and stabilization.

The role requires 15-25 years in steel, metals, heavy engineering or EPC projects, with proven large team leadership and strong stakeholder management; willingness to travel to project sites.

Qualifications

• 15-25 years of total professional experience.
• Strong experience in steel, metals, heavy engineering, EPC or large industrial projects.
• Experience in greenfield/brownfield projects preferred.
• Proven ability to manage large multidisciplinary teams.
• Extensive EPC contractor and technology supplier management experience.
• Experience in commissioning and plant ramp-up is desirable.
• Knowledge of industrial HSE requirements.
• Willingness to work from Mumbai/Navi Mumbai and travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead complete PLTCM project execution.
• Manage engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning.
• Control project scope, cost, schedule and quality.
• Coordinate pickling, tandem cold rolling, utilities and automation.
• Manage technology supplier and EPC contractor interfaces.
• Monitor long-lead equipment procurement.
• Lead project review meetings.
• Manage project risks and recovery actions.
• Coordinate commissioning and trial production.
• Drive performance guarantee testing.
• Ensure successful project handover to operations.
