Job summary

Essar Minmet is seeking a Senior Manager/Project Leader to head mechanical equipment and piping engineering for ISP projects in Mumbai. The role demands overseeing design, reviews, and optimization to ensure reliable, maintainable, and constructible solutions.

Ideal candidates will have 15-25 years of experience in steel/industrial projects, strong EPC contractor management, and readiness to travel to project sites. This position is based in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai with full-time employment.

Qualifications

• 15-25 years total professional experience required.
• Strong experience in steel/metals/heavy engineering/EPC or large industrial projects preferred.
• Experience in greenfield/brownfield projects desirable.
• Proven ability to manage large multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong EPC contractor and supplier management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical equipment and piping engineering for ISP projects.
• Review equipment specifications and datasheets.
• Review pumps, compressors, fans, conveyors, gearboxes and hydraulic systems.
• Review piping layouts, specifications and stress analysis.
• Conduct equipment layout and 3D model reviews.
• Review vendor drawings and technical documentation.
• Ensure equipment maintainability and accessibility.
• Coordinate mechanical interfaces with other disciplines.
• Support procurement technical evaluations.
• Support erection and commissioning activities.

• Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects within schedule, budget and quality requirements.
