Job summary

WAE India seeks an experienced Site Execution & Project Manager to lead water treatment plant projects in Uttar Pradesh. You will oversee the full site lifecycle from civil works to commissioning, coordinating engineering disciplines and field teams to ensure on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include scheduling with MS Project/Primavera, QA/QC, safety compliance, vendor management, client liaison, cost control, and handover documentation. English/Hindi proficiency essential.

Qualifications

• B.Tech/B.E. in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Chemical Eng.
• PMP certification preferred.
• Experience in site management for water/wastewater/fluid processing projects is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee full site lifecycle construction, equipment installation, testing, and commissioning of water treatment plants (STP/ETP/WTP/RO).
• Develop detailed baseline schedules (WBS, Gantt charts) using MS Project or Primavera; track milestones.
• Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation activities.
• Manage site resources including labor, machinery, and material movement.
• Enforce QA/QC standards and safety per OSHA and local codes and CPCB/DPCC/HSPCB guidelines.
• Lead client and stakeholder meetings and publish weekly progress reports.
• Monitor costs and manage variation claims and timely payments.
• Lead pre-commissioning, testing, handover, and documentation (As-Built drawings, O&M manuals).

Role & responsibilities

1. Site Execution & Project Management

• Oversee full site lifecycle construction, equipment installation, testing, and commissioning of water treatment plants(STP/ETP/WTP/RO).
• Develop detailed baseline schedules (WBS, Gantt charts) using MS Project or Primavera; track daily/weekly milestones.
• Coordinate civil structural works, mechanical equipment erection, piping layout, and electrical & instrumentation setups.
• Optimally manage site resource allocation including skilled labor, machinery, and material movement.

2. Quality Control & EHS Compliance

• Enforce strict QA/QC standards for incoming raw materials, concrete structural work, equipment alignment, and piping integrity.
• Drive zero-incident safety protocols across all execution teams, ensuring compliance with OSHA and local safety codes.
• Ensure all site activities strictly conform to CPCB, DPCC, and HSPCB statutory environmental guidelines.

3. Vendor & Sub-contractor Management

• Supervise sub-contractors, site engineers, and specialist vendors to ensure seamless workflow and craftsmanship.
• Review engineering drawings, verify Measurement Books (MB), validate contractor bills, and resolve on-site technical disputes.

4. Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary site point of contact for clients, technical consultants, and municipal bodies.
• Conduct structured weekly review meetings and publish DPRs (Daily Progress Reports), WPRs, and MPRs to stakeholders.

5. Cost Control, Claims & Billing

• Monitor project expenditure against target budgets, identifying variance early and implementing proactive value engineering.
• Prepare client bills, manage extra-item claims/variations, and facilitate timely realization of milestone payments.

6. Commissioning & Project Handover

• Lead pre-commissioning checks, wet trials, performance demonstration tests, and official client handovers.
• Ensure comprehensive project closeout documentation, including As-Built drawings, O&M manuals, and statutory certifications.

Preferred candidate profile

Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Civil, Mechanical, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering. (PMP certification preferred).

Experience: 7 to 10 years of hands-on site management experience in water, wastewater, or fluid processing projects.

Technical Capabilities: Deep understanding of STP, ETP, WTP, RO, MBR, MBBR, ZLD, and pumping networks.

Strong knowledge of civil water structures and P&ID diagrams.

Software Proficiency: MS Project / Primavera, AutoCAD (drawing review), and MS Excel.

Soft Skills: Strong team leadership, vendor negotiation, problem-solving under tight site conditions, and strategic client management.

Languages: Full professional proficiency in English and Hindi.
