Job summary

Ionmax Engineers in India seeks an experienced Process & Design Engineer specializing in STP/ETP/WTP. You will design and engineer wastewater treatment systems, perform calculations and coordinate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities include 2D/3D drawings, BOQ/BOM preparation, and site coordination from design through commissioning.

Qualifications

• Candidate should have hands-on STP/ETP/WTP design experience and process design expertise.
• Strong ability to perform hydraulic calculations and equipment sizing.
• Familiarity with P&ID, HFD, GA drawings, layouts, BOQ and BOM is required.

Responsibilities

• Design and drawing of water treatment plants (ETP/STP/WTP/R0/MEE) using 2D AutoCAD.
• Create 3D designs in Pro/E, CATIA or SolidWorks for plant layouts.
• Prepare process design calculations including hydraulic flow, tank sizing, pumps and dosing.
• Prepare and review BOQ, BOM and technical specifications for projects.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors and site teams for project execution.
• Provide support during commissioning and troubleshooting at sites.

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Process & Design Engineer with strong technical knowledge and practical experience in the design and engineering of Sewage Treatment Plants (STP), Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Water Treatment Plants (WTP), and wastewater recycling systems.

The candidate will be responsible for process design, engineering calculations, preparation/review of technical drawings, BOQ/BOM preparation, and coordination with clients, consultants, vendors, fabricators and site teams.

A-Design / Drawing of Water Treatment Plants Like ETP , STP , RO , MEE on 2D -AUTOCAD

B. Design /Drawing of Water Treatment Plants on 3D software like PRO E, CATIA, SOLID WORKS

C. Costing of Water Treatment Plants

Design and process engineering of STP/ETP/WTP based on technologies such below,

• MBBR
• MBR
• SBR
• Conventional biological treatment
• Tertiary treatment
• UF / RO / Membrane systems
• Wastewater recycling and reuse systems

2. Process scheme selection and development based on influent characteristics, treated water quality requirements, site conditions and project specifications.

3. Preparation of detailed process design calculations, including:

• Hydraulic calculations
• Tank sizing
• Biological process calculations
• Sludge generation calculations
• Aeration requirements
• Pump and blower selection
• Chemical dosing calculations
• Filter and membrane sizing

4. Preparation and review of detailed engineering drawings and documents, including:

• P&ID
• HFD / Process Flow Diagrams
• Equipment Layout
• Piping Layout
• Civil GA / Equipment GA
• Sectional drawings
• Process schematics
• Equipment and instrument specifications

5. Pipe sizing and hydraulic calculations, including flow velocity, pressure drop and head-loss calculations.

6. Preparation of BOQ, BOM, equipment schedules and technical specifications for STP/ETP/WTP projects.

7. Selection and technical evaluation of:

• Pumps
• Blowers
• Mixers
• Filters
• Membranes
• Dosing systems
• Mechanical equipment
• Instruments and other process equipment

8. Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to site engineers and project/site in-charges during execution and commissioning.

9. Attend project kick-off meetings, technical discussions and design review meetings with clients and consultants.

10. Coordinate with clients, consultants, civil/MEP teams, fabricators, vendors and site teams for smooth project execution.

11. Review and check engineering drawings, BOMs, BOQs, vendor offers and technical submittals.

12. Support project teams during commissioning, performance trials and troubleshooting of STP/ETP/WTP systems.

Required Candidate Profile

• B.Tech / B.E. in:
• Chemical Engineering
• Mechanical Engineering
• Environmental Engineering
• or related engineering discipline.
• Strong practical experience in STP / ETP / WTP design and engineering.
• Good understanding of MBBR, MBR, SBR and tertiary treatment processes.
• Ability to independently perform process and hydraulic design calculations.
• Good understanding of P&ID, HFD, GA drawings, layouts, BOQ and BOM.
• Knowledge of pumps, blowers, piping, valves, instruments and wastewater treatment equipment.
• Ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, vendors and site teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Candidates with only general mechanical/Civil design experience without STP/ETP/WTP design experience should not apply.

Preferred Experience

Candidates having experience in turnkey wastewater treatment projects, including design, engineering, procurement support, execution and commissioning, will be preferred.
