Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule all project activities as per timelines
• Assist in ensuring timely on-site work execution
• Liaise with Architects, Consultants, Contractors and Government authorities for smooth on-site operation
• Conduct Project Review and Design Review meetings (online or on-site)
• Prepare agendas and circulate meeting minutes
• Maintain site records (inventory, drawing, non-compliance registers)
• Guide engineers to meet mutually agreed targets and mentor juniors
• Identify slippages and initiate corrective actions
• Invite local quotes for comparison and submit to PIMO for processing
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental policies
• Prepare MIS reports to aid decision making
• Aim to minimize material wastage and apply value engineering when needed
• Coordinate among team members, contractors and consultants for timely completion
• Perform any other duties assigned by PIMO

Job Description:

• Should plan and schedule all the project activities as per the timelines given by PIMO.

• Assist PIMO in ensuring timely work execution on site.

• Liaison with Architects, Consultants, Contractors and Government authorities to have smooth functioning at site.

• Conduct Project Review and Design Review meetings on-line and if required in office.

• Prepare Agenda and then minutes of the meeting and circulate to all.

• Maintain all the desired records at site like inventory management, RIF register, drawing register, non-compliance register, etc.

• Guide the team of Engineers to plan and deliver the targets, which were mutually agreed upon.

• Groom the Junior Engineers in managing the site.

• Identify slippages/delays and initiate corrective action.

• Whenever required, invite quotes from local vendors to carry out comparison and submit it to PIMO for further process.

• Ensure compliance with safety standards and environmental policies.

• Prepare all MIS reports from time to time to facilitate decision making by PIMO.

• Ensure minimum wastage of material at site and suggest value engineering to reduce the cost wherever required.

• Ensure that the assigned work is completed as per the schedule by co-ordinating amongst the team members, contractors and consultants.

• Any other work assigned by PIMO from time to time.

Job Description:

1. Project Planning and Initiation

   • Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and timelines in consultation with stakeholders.

   • Prepare project execution strategy, master schedule, and milestone charts using MS Project.

   • Review design and tender documents to ensure constructability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.

   • Maintenance of existing buildings

   • Co-ordinate with Finance team as and when required.

2. Budgeting and Cost Control

   • Prepare and monitor project budgets, estimates, and cost plans.

   • Conduct techno-commercial evaluation of bids and assist in contractor/vendor selection.

   • Track project financial performance, manage variations, and ensure cost optimization.

3. Construction Management

   • Supervise on-site execution through coordination with contractors, consultants, and site engineers.

   • Ensure timely mobilization of manpower, materials, and equipment.

   • Monitor progress through site inspections, daily reports, and review meetings.

   • Implement effective change management and issue resolution processes.

4. Quality Assurance and Safety

   • Enforce adherence to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards (IS codes, NBC, etc.).

   • Ensure strict compliance with Health,Safety,andEnvironment(HSE)norms.

   • Conduct regular quality and safety audits.

5. Contract and Documentation Management

   • Administer contracts, manage claims, and maintain correspondence with contractors and consultants.

   • Ensure all statutory approvals and permits are obtained before and during execution.

   • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, drawings, and records.

6. Stakeholder Coordination

   • Liaise with clients, architects, consultants, and government authorities for approvals and inspections.

   • Conduct regular progress review meetings with management and stakeholders.

   • Ensure effective communication among design, execution, procurement, and finance teams.

7. Project Handover and Closure

   • Oversee testing, commissioning, snag rectification, and as-built documentation.

   • Prepare project completion reports and handover documentation.

   • Evaluate contractor performance and lessons learned for future projects.
