Job summary

GMR Group is seeking a Team Member- Project execution to support the Project Site Head in day-to-day site activities, ensuring robust planning, monitoring and timely resolution of bottlenecks to drive project completion.

The role involves coordinating with Corporate Office for resource availability, supervising site activities, ensuring quality, safety and compliance, and maintaining project records and MIS.

Qualifications

• B.Tech./B.E. (Civil) or equivalent with construction management diploma.
• 6–8 years experience in project execution with at least 2 years in planning for logistics/real estate/infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Execute construction activities as per drawings, specs and schedule.
• Supervise site activities and ensure quality workmanship.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders for smooth execution.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment and resources at site.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and statutory requirements.
• Review drawings and resolve site execution issues.
• Measure work progress, verify quantities and billing/certification.
• Track progress and report delays or risks.
• Coordinate with planning, design, procurement, MEP and safety teams for timely completion.
• Maintain site records, daily progress reports, RFIs and project documentation.
• Ensure timely closure of snags and punch points.
• Plan resource requirements and update Master Schedule monthly.
• Coordinate with central Design & Architecture team for timely designs.
• Prepare MIS/status reports and circulate them in a timely manner.
• Adhere to Department SOPs and knowledge management practices.

JOB PURPOSE

The Team Member- Project execution assist the Project Site Head in effectively executing all day-to-day project execution related activities at the Site. The role holder will play a very critical role in project completion within the timelines by ensuring robust project planning, monitoring and effectively sorting-out all bottlenecks related to project execution.

The role holder will be responsible for undertaking all coordination with the Corporate Office to ensure timely availability of all resources to the Site Team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Execute construction activities as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedule.
• Supervise site activities and ensure quality workmanship.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders for smooth project execution.
• Monitor manpower, materials, equipment, and resources at site.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and statutory requirements.
• Review drawings and identify site execution issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Measure work progress, verify quantities, and billing and certification.
• Track project progress against targets and report delays or risks.
• Coordinate with planning, design, procurement, MEP, and safety teams to ensure timely completion of work.
• Maintain site records, daily progress reports, inspection requests, (RFI) and other project documentation.
• Ensure timely closure of snags and punch points
• Prepare and update Master Schedule for the project on monthly basis Review the detailed project schedule submitted by Contactor and ensure it is in line with the Master Schedule
• Plan the resource requirement- material and manpower, throughout the project lifecycle on monthly basis
• Coordinate with the central Design & Architecture team for timely receipt of project designs
• Coordinate with respective Project Coordinators, participate in periodic project review meetings at the Corporate to ensure resolution of all project related bottlenecks in a timely manner

• Planned vs. actual timelines for preparation of Master Schedule for Projects
• Planned vs. actual timelines for various project execution activities
  • Percentage adherence to the plan for initiation of various activities as per scheduled lead time

• MIS and Reporting:
• Interact with the Project Execution Team members (Civil, Services, Billing etc) for Project related information in order to collate data and create all Project related Reports/MIS
• Ensure timely preparation/consolidation of all MIS and reports for site activities and ensure circulation of same
• Support Project Site Head in consolidating information/reports on requests from various Functions at Corporate

• Percentage adherence to timelines for preparation and circulation of MIS/ status reports (weekly/monthly/yearly etc.)
• Quality of project status reports/MIS (Based on feedback from the Head-Projects)

• Others: Adhere to the established Department SOPs.
• Survey the environment for latest developments and best practices in construction equipment, techniques and tools; Provide inputs to Head-Projects on the feasibility of implementing the same.
• Contribute to the Knowledge Management initiatives of the Department
• Ensure timely updation of data/information in ERP, as applicable

• Percentage reduction in number of deviations from Department SOPs
• Number of Knowledge Management initiatives undertaken during the year/ adherence to the Knowledge Management plan defined for the role for the year
• Number of instances of delays/ erroneous data updation in ERP

EXTERNAL INTERACTIONS

• Interact with external consultants, Vendors / contractors for design & smooth execution of the project.

FINANCIAL DIMENSIONS

• CAPEX works of upto Rs. 120 - 150 Cr / year

• Civil, MEP, PEB works packages to be handled / managed

EDUCATION QUALIFICATIONS

⢠B.Tech./B.E. (Civil) /PG Diploma in Construction Mgt from NICMAR or reputed institute

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE

• 6-8 yearsexperience in the area of project execution with at least 2 years experience in Planning function in Logistic Park/Warehouse/ Real Estate/ Infrastructure/ Construction/ Related Industry
