Job summary

Jakson Group is seeking a leadership role for managing all aspects of site execution from mobilization through handover. The ideal candidate brings 15-20 years of experience and holds a B.Tech or Diploma. You will lead mobilization, installation, safety, and quality activities across electrical and mechanical scope.

Responsibilities include coordinating with customer/PMC, managing contractors, and ensuring timely commissioning and handover with proper documentation and compliance.

• Oversee erection and installation of electrical/mechanical equipment, ensuring adherence to specs and timelines.
• Implement HSE policies, conduct site safety audits and ensure PPE usage.
• Prepare Field Quality Plan and ensure quality standards and inspections.
• Manage erection contractors and service vendors, oversee contractual issues and milestones.
• Coordinate with customer/PMC, provide progress updates and lead client inspections.
• Plan and execute pre-commissioning and commissioning, ensuring handover and sign-off.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Mobilisation

• Study of contract for scope, technical, safety, quality and statutory requirement.
• Site visit and kick off meeting with customer / PMC site staff.
• Contractor finalisation in coordination with Project Controller.
• Allocation of Site Engineer.
• Site Mobilisation (Establishment of Site office / Store, deployment of required staff like HSE / Quality engineer.)

2. Site Installation Management

• Oversee erection and installation of all electrical/mechanical equipment under Jakson Scope such as DG sets, transformers, BOT, Panel, switchgear, structures, etc.
• Ensure strict adherence to project specifications, technical drawings, and timelines.
• Coordinate with design, Project Controller and procurement teams for timely availability of materials and resources.
• Manage contractor deployment, allocation of tasks, and daily work progress.
• Maintenance of all statutory registers and records as per contract / statutory requirement.
• Certification from customer as per customer guidelines for all inward material at site for processing payment.
• Adherence to schedule and milestone and updating as per customer requirement.

3. Safety Compliance

• Implement and enforce HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) policies as per statutory and company norms.
• Conduct regular site safety audits, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
• Ensure all site personnel use appropriate PPE and follow safety protocols.
• Investigate incidents/near-misses and take corrective actions.
• Conduct safety audits.

4. Quality Assurance

• Preparation of FQP (Field Quality Plan).
• Ensure that erection work meets quality standards and customer expectations.
• Implement quality control procedures during installationcheck alignment, torque, welding quality, insulation resistance, etc.
• Maintain proper documentation of QAP (Quality Assurance Plan) and test records.
• Liaise with quality teams for inspections and third-party validations.
• Conduct Quality audits.

5. Vendor and Contractor Management

• Manage and evaluate performance of erection contractors and service vendors.
• Ensure contractors comply with technical, safety, and quality requirements.
• Handle contractual issues, productivity monitoring, and scope adherence.
• Approve contractor bills based on actual work completion (JMS) and milestone achievements.
• Preparation and Certification of RA bill form customer and submission.
• Development of New Contractors.

6. Customer and PMC (Project Management Consultant) Interaction

• Serve as the primary point of contact for customer site representatives and PMC.
• Attend site meetings, resolve client/PMC queries, and ensure execution aligns with expectations.
• Provide regular updates on progress, delays, and risk mitigation plans.
• Coordinate for client inspections, approvals, and punch list closures.

7. Testing and Commissioning

• Preparation of list of site test and checks.
• Plan and execute pre-commissioning and commissioning of systems.
• Ensure all equipment undergoes functional and performance testing as per contract requirement.
• Coordinate with respective OEM/ Supplier and internal teams for final testing, troubleshooting, and handover.
• Ensure timely generation of commissioning documents and customer sign-off and handing over of Project.
