Job summary

E C R Buildtech requires an experienced Project Manager for a senior role in construction, based in Uttar Pradesh, India.

The successful candidate will lead end-to-end project planning and execution, supervise site activities across civil, structural, PEB, MEP and finishing works, and coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion and compliance with drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage overall project execution as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQ, and contractual requirements.
  • Prepare and monitor project execution schedules, milestones, and work programs.
  • Ensure timely mobilization of manpower, materials, machinery, subcontractors, and resources.
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly progress against the approved baseline schedule.
  • Identify delays, constraints, and critical activities and implement corrective measures.
  • Take overall responsibility for site execution and day-to-day project activities.
  • Coordinate civil, structural, PEB, MEP, finishing, and external development works.
  • Ensure proper sequencing and coordination of different trades.
  • Resolve site-level technical and execution issues in coordination with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure optimum utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between the company, client, consultant, architect, and other stakeholders.
  • Attend project review meetings and present project progress, issues, and recovery plans.
  • Coordinate for timely approval of drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical queries.
  • Maintain proper records of client instructions, approvals, changes, and site constraints.
  • Identify and formally communicate client-related delays and their impact on project completion.
  • Understand and administer the project contract, BOQ, specifications, scope, and contractual obligations.
  • Monitor variations, extra items, deviations, and additional works.
  • Ensure proper documentation and timely submission of variation/extra-item claims.
  • Coordinate with the QS/Billing team for RA bills, measurements, certification, and payment recovery.
  • Monitor project costs and take measures to control wastage and avoid cost overruns.
  • Support preparation and substantiation of EOT, escalation, and other contractual claims.
  • Ensure construction activities are carried out as per approved drawings, specifications, ITPs, method statements, and applicable standards.
  • Coordinate with the QA/QC team for inspections, testing, approvals, and quality documentation.
  • Ensure timely rectification and closure of NCRs, observations, and quality issues.
  • Monitor quality of workmanship and materials used at site.
  • Ensure strict compliance with project HSE requirements and statutory safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with the safety team to implement safety plans, toolbox meetings, work permits, and inspections.
  • Ensure appropriate PPE and safe working practices are followed by employees and subcontractors.
  • Take immediate corrective action in case of unsafe conditions or practices.
  • Plan manpower requirements in line with the project schedule.
  • Monitor productivity and performance of engineers, supervisors, workers, and subcontractors.
  • Review subcontractor progress and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors regarding work fronts, resources, quality, safety, and timelines.
  • Take corrective action for underperforming subcontractors.
  • Coordinate with the procurement and stores teams to ensure timely availability of materials.
  • Review material requirements based on the construction schedule.
  • Monitor material consumption, wastage, and inventory.
  • Ensure materials are procured and used as per approved specifications and makes.
  • Review daily, weekly, and monthly project reports.
  • Monitor project KPIs related to progress, cost, quality, safety, and productivity.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of site records, drawings, approvals, measurements, inspection reports, and correspondence.
  • Submit regular progress reports and management updates.
  • Maintain records required for contractual claims and project closeout.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation measures.
  • Monitor critical-path activities and project constraints.
  • Maintain proper documentation of delays caused by client, consultants, subcontractors, weather, approvals, material availability, or other external factors.
  • Prepare and implement recovery programs wherever project progress falls behind schedule.
  • Plan and monitor finishing, testing, commissioning, snagging, and rectification activities.
  • Coordinate preparation of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, test certificates, and handover documentation.
  • Ensure timely completion and handover of the project.
  • Coordinate final measurements, reconciliation, completion certificates, and project closeout.
