Job summary

AP Management Consultants seeks a production planner/shift supervisor to manage daily schedules, monitor shop-floor activities, and coordinate with maintenance, quality, and stores. The role emphasizes lean practices, OEE improvement, CNC operations, and adherence to safety and SOPs.

The candidate should have 5–10 years of experience in mechanical production and a BE/B.Tech or Diploma in Mechanical engineering.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical production environments preferred.
• Candidate should be able to prepare and execute production/shift plans and schedules.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute production plans, shift plans, and daily production schedules.
• Monitor shop-floor production activities and ensure achievement of targets.
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Stores, and other departments for smooth production flow.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing, Lean Flow, Kanban, and SMED practices.
• Monitor and improve OEE, productivity, cycle time, downtime, and machine utilization.
• Ensure effective CNC machine operations and process adherence.
• Drive 6S, QRQC, problem-solving, and continuous improvement activities.
• Identify production bottlenecks and implement root-cause and corrective actions.
• Support shop-floor maintenance coordination to minimize machine downtime.
• Ensure compliance with HSE, safety procedures, SOPs, and work instructions.
• Track production performance and prepare daily/shift MIS reports.
• Drive Production Planning & Execution to meet quality, delivery, and productivity targets.
