Job summary

Congruence Hr in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, is seeking a Production Planning & Control (PPC) Executive to streamline planning and scheduling for our manufacturing operations. The role involves coordinating with Production, Stores and Quality to meet delivery deadlines.

You will work from the office, using MS Excel and ERP/MRP tools to monitor production performance, track deviations, and drive process improvements across daily, weekly and monthly planning cycles.

Qualifications

• Experience in PPC, Production Planning, Production Coordination, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on customer requirements, order priorities, inventory levels and available production capacity.
• Coordinate with the production team to communicate planned quantities and priorities.
• Monitor actual production against planned production and highlight deviations, delays and bottlenecks.
• Coordinate with Purchase and Stores to ensure the availability of required raw materials and other production inputs as per the production plan.
• Monitor material availability and identify potential shortages that may affect production schedules.
• Coordinate with Production, Quality and other functions to ensure smooth movement of materials and production through the plant.
• Support capacity planning based on machine availability, production requirements and planned quantities.
• Coordinate with Maintenance regarding planned maintenance or breakdowns that may impact production schedules.
• Support effective utilisation of available production capacity and resources.
• Track daily production performance against the production plan and maintain relevant records.
• Prepare and maintain daily, weekly and monthly production planning reports and MIS.
• Analyse production data to identify recurring deviations and support corrective actions.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to ensure production is aligned with committed delivery schedules.
• Monitor pending production quantities against customer requirements and communicate priority requirements to the concerned teams.
• Coordinate with Dispatch and other relevant functions to ensure timely completion of production requirements.
• Maintain accurate planning data and ensure timely updating of production status.
• Follow up proactively with different departments to resolve operational issues affecting production plans.

Requirements:

• Experience in PPC, Production Planning, Production Coordination, or a similar role in a manufacturing environment.
• Understanding of basic production planning concepts such as production scheduling, capacity planning, material availability, inventory, work-in-progress and plan-versus-actual monitoring.
• Experience in coordinating with cross-functional teams such as Production, Stores, Purchase, Quality and Maintenance.
• Good working knowledge of MS Excel and the ability to work with production data and MIS reports.
• Exposure to ERP/MRP systems used for production planning or inventory management will be an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving ability, with attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and respond effectively to changes in production requirements.
• Qualification in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline will be preferred.
