Qualifications

  • B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering is required.
  • 9–10 years of PPC planning experience in manufacturing.
  • Strong ERP and advanced Excel skills for planning and tracking.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Control, Scheduling and supply chain coordination.
  • Familiarity with Lean, 5S, and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop production plans from customer requirements and sales input.
  • Create daily/weekly schedules based on demand, capacity, manpower and material.
  • Monitor loading and revise schedules due to changes or constraints.
  • Coordinate with design, stores, purchase, and dispatch for throughput.
  • Drive Lean improvements and ensure ISO 9001:2015 compliance.

Job Description Engineer (PPC)

Department: Production Planning & Control (PPC)

Location: Rabale

Education: B.E. / B.Tech Mechanical Engineering

Experience: 9-10 Years

Key Responsibilities
1. Production, Material & Capacity Planning
  • Receive customer requirements from Sales and prepare production plans.
  • Develop daily and weekly production schedules based on demand, capacity, manpower, and material availability.
  • Monitor production loading for optimum capacity utilization.
  • Revise schedules based on design changes, shortages, or operational constraints.
2. Material Planning & Inventory Management
  • Coordinate with Design for drawings and BoM.
  • Check material availability with Stores and follow up with Purchase for incoming materials.
  • Raise MRN and ensure timely material issuance to production.
  • Monitor Raw Material, WIP, and Finished Goods inventory as per norms.
  • Review slow/non-moving inventory and initiate corrective actions.
3. Scheduling, Tracking & Execution
  • Generate and distribute work orders.
  • Track work order progress and ensure timely completion.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality, Purchase, Feeder Shops, and Dispatch teams for smooth workflow.
  • Ensure timely work order closure.
4. Process Improvement & Lean Practices
  • Develop and maintain PPC process flow charts.
  • Identify improvement opportunities and reduce non-value-added activities.
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.
5. ERP & Data Management
  • Use ERP systems for planning, tracking, and reporting.
  • Maintain accurate planning data and generate management reports.
  • Use advanced Excel and data analysis for forecasting and decision-making.

  • Strong ERP and advanced Excel skills for planning and tracking.
  • Knowledge of Inventory Control, Scheduling, and Supply Chain coordination.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices.
