Job summary

Pasona in Tamil Nadu is seeking a Production Planning and Control professional to manage end-to-end planning across daily to monthly horizons.

You will coordinate with Production, Procurement, Stores, Quality, Engineering and Warehouse teams to ensure on-time delivery, optimize inventory, and drive continuous improvement initiatives such as 6S and Kaizen. The role requires strong MS Excel skills, ERP familiarity including BOM/MRP, and hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in production planning and control in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of BOM, MRP, ERP systems and production planning methodologies.
• Exposure to automotive, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing industries preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 6S is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and execute daily, weekly, and monthly production plans based on customer schedules and forecast demand.
• Monitor production schedules and ensure achievement of production targets and delivery commitments.
• Coordinate with production teams to address capacity constraints and schedule deviations.
• Plan material requirements based on production plans and BOM.
• Coordinate with Procurement and Stores teams to ensure timely availability of raw materials and electronic components.
• Monitor inventory levels and support optimum inventory management practices.
• Track daily production performance against plan and analyze variances.
• Monitor WIP and Finished Goods inventory to ensure smooth production flow.
• Support corrective actions for production delays and material shortages.
• Update and maintain production planning data in ERP systems.
• Generate and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to production, inventory, and delivery performance.
• Ensure data accuracy and timely reporting of planning KPIs.
• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Engineering, and Warehouse teams for effective execution of production plans.
• Support resolution of production and material-related issues to avoid line stoppages.
• Participate in production review meetings and track action items.
• Support implementation of 6S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute towards improving planning accuracy, inventory management, and operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Cross Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Stores, Quality, Engineering, and Warehouse teams for effective execution of production plans.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E or Diploma Engineering with 4-7 years of experience in Production Planning and Control (PPC) in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience in production scheduling, material planning, inventory control, and production monitoring.
• Good understanding of BOM, MRP, ERP systems, and production planning methodologies.
• Exposure to automotive, electronics, or high-volume manufacturing industries will be preferred.
• Strong coordination skills with Production, Purchase, Stores, and Quality teams.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems is mandatory.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 6S practices will be an added advantage.
