Job summary

United Tyrekrafts is seeking an experienced Production Planner to design daily to monthly production schedules for a busy machine shop. You will coordinate with stores, P2P, and production teams to ensure timely material availability and on-time deliveries.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in automotive or heavy engineering environments, with strong PPC, VMC/CNC knowledge and leadership ability to drive continuous improvement. A data-driven approach and capacity planning skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in machine shop maintenance in automotive, engineering, precision manufacturing, or heavy engineering industries.
• Strong knowledge of PPC and machine shop operations.
• Good understanding of VMC, CNC turning and machining processes.
• Ability to understand production drawings, routing, BOM and process flow.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Good understanding of machine capacity and loading.
• Ability to manage production priorities and urgent customer requirements.
• Strong coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet delivery commitments.
• Good leadership and team-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly production plans based on customer orders and dispatch requirements.
• Prepare machine-wise and process-wise production schedules for VMC, CNC and other machining operations.
• Plan production according to machine capacity, manpower, tooling, raw material and process availability.
• Material & Production Coordination
• Coordinate with Stores, Purchase and Production for timely availability of raw materials, forgings, bars, bought-out components and consumables.
• Monitor material shortages affecting production schedules.
• Plan jobs according to machine capability and process requirements.
• Prepare machine loading and capacity planning reports.
• Monitor VMC/CNC machine loading and identify capacity constraints.
• Prepare daily / weekly/monthly PPC reports.
• Monitor WIP levels at different stage of machines.
• Identify slow-moving and non-moving inventory and coordinate corrective action.
• Control excess inventory and ensure proper movement of material between processes.
• Monitor RM, WIP and finished-goods inventory against defined norms.
