Job summary

Indosol Solar Pvt Ltd is seeking a Production Planning and Control specialist to drive material planning, scheduling, and execution across production lines. You will coordinate with sales for forecasts, manage BOM and routing data, and ensure timely material availability and order closure in SAP and MES.

The role requires close collaboration with procurement and store teams to maintain stock levels, control wastage, and ensure traceability through batch/serial numbers across production cycles.

Qualifications

• Update BOM, Routing and Production Versions for new modules.
• Create daily/weekly/monthly production schedules across lines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Sales & Marketing for demand forecasts.
• Prepare and monitor SAP MRP and material planning.
• Raise PRs for BOM and non-BOM materials based on forecast and lead times.
• Ensure traceability with batch and serial numbers in SAP & MES.
• Create production orders and reserve materials in SAP & MES.
• Monitor WIP and closure of production orders within 48 hours.
• Maintain stock levels for critical materials and review scrap generation.

Job description

Production Planning and Control Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with the Sales & Marketing team to collect monthly and quarterly demand forecasts.
• Prepare and monitor Material Requirement Planning (MRP) in SAP.
• Ensure that only approved materials and latest BOM revisions are used in production.
• Ensure all BOM, Routing, and Production Versions are updated for new module types.
• Raise Purchase Requests (PR) for BOM and Non-BOM materials requierment against sales forecast, Based on the material lead time.
• Coordinate with Procurement team to ensure ontime Raw mataerial delivery at factory to meet with sales requirement.
• Coordinate with production team to ensure machine, manpower avaialability for plan the production order execution.
• Convert customer orders into a production plan based on available capacity and resources.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules for available lines.
• Create and issue production orders in SAP & MES for daily production.
• Make material reservations against production orders (PP).
• Coordiate with store team to ensure the Raw material availablity on time to the production floor
• Ensure traceability through proper batch number and serial number management in SAP & MES.
• Monitor production progress against daily and shift-wise targets.
• Meeting with store and procurement weekly once for availailty of the stock to meet the production requirement.
• Track Work in Progress (WIP) at every production stage.
• Monitor and ensure timely closure of production orders (within 48 hours).
• Perform material reconciliation for transactions received from RM61 to PR61.
• Maintain minimum and reorder stock levels for critical Non-BOM materials.
• Implement and review the daily scrap list to control material wastage.
• Support to SAP team to complete the development requirement.

Reports

1. Daily Production plan vs actual To track daily production output, line efficiency, and target achievement across the production lines.
2. Open Production Order (PP) Status Report with Reasons To monitor pending or delayed production orders, along with the reasons for non-closure or delay in confirmation.
3. Daily Scrap Report with Percentage (%) – To record and publish daily scrap generation details, including scrap percentage against total production, for analysis and control.
4. Material Tracker Report – To track material movement, availability, and consumption status for each production batch, ensuring smooth material flow.
5. Material Reconciliation Report – To compare and reconcile planned (BOM) material quantities with actual consumption to identify variances and improve accuracy.
6. Consumable Stock Report – To maintain and track the minimum, maximum, and reorder levels for all consumable items to avoid shortages during production.
