Job summary

Maxflow Fans Manufacturing in Chandannagar near Hooghly, West Bengal, seeks a Production Manager / Senior Production Manager with 10–15 years of hands-on experience in industrial fan and pump manufacturing. Expertise in centrifugal and axial fan production, plus shop-floor leadership, is essential.

You will drive production planning, implement SOPs, lead a large team, coordinate across Design, PPC, Quality and Maintenance, and ensure on-time delivery with quality and productivity targets.

Qualifications

• B.E./B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering preferred; Diploma with strong relevant experience may also be considered.
• Experience: 10 to 15 years in Production/Manufacturing, with minimum 5 years in Industrial Fan/Pump or similar heavy engineering manufacturing
• Technical Experience: Manufacturing of Centrifugal & Axial Industrial Fans, including heavy fabrication, welding, machining, assembly, balancing and testing
• Management Skills: Production planning & control, manpower/machine utilization, shop-floor management and achieving QCD & productivity targets
• Quality & Safety: Knowledge of quality control, SOPs, safety procedures, rejection/rework reduction and process improvement
• Having Knowledge on high tensile steel- Similar & Dissimilar, distortion material control technique during joining
• Having knowledge on non-destructive testing & destructive testing
• Additional Advantage: Experience in 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, MIS/KPIs and team handling
• Preferred: Hands-on experience in fabrication, welding, machining, NDT, balancing and performance testing of Fan/Pump
• Experience of working in SAP, ISO 9001, ISO14001 & ISO 45001
• Capable of Handing 300 Workers & Unions
• Preferred Location- Require to stay at Hooghly near Factory
• Immediate joining will be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage complete production operations and achieve daily/monthly production targets.
• Handle manufacturing of centrifugal and axial industrial fans, including heavy fabrication, assembly, balancing, testing and finishing.
• Manage production planning, manpower allocation, machine utilization and production scheduling.
• Ensure production as per quality, delivery, cost and productivity targets.
• Monitor shop-floor processes and minimize rejection, rework, downtime and material wastage.
• Coordinate with Design, PPC, Purchase, Quality, Stores and Maintenance departments.
• Improve manufacturing processes, productivity and overall shop-floor efficiency.
• Ensure proper implementation of SOPs, work instructions and safety procedures.
• Lead and develop production supervisors, engineers, technicians and shop-floor workers.
• Monitor production MIS, rejection/rework reports, productivity and other KPIs.
• Drive 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure timely completion of customer orders and dispatch schedules.
• Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Handled union
