Job summary

Step Techno Solutions in India is seeking a production-focused professional to lead and monitor daily/weekly production activities, including PP/PPH tanks and ducting systems. You will supervise fabrication, allocate manpower, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining quality and safety standards.

The role requires strong reporting, coordination across Design/QC/Purchase/Stores/Dispatch, and the ability to read engineering drawings and BOMs.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of fabrication and manufacturing processes.
• Experience in PP/PPH fabrication, welding and industrial equipment manufacturing will be preferred.
• Good manpower handling and production planning skills.
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and BOMs.
• Strong coordination and problem-solving abilities.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel and production reporting.
• Leadership skills with the ability to manage shop-floor teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor daily/weekly production activities as per project schedules.
• Supervise fabrication and manufacturing work, including PP/PPH tanks, PP ducting systems and industrial equipment.
• Allocate manpower and ensure optimum utilization of machines and resources.
• Monitor production progress and achieve delivery targets.
• Coordinate with Design, QC, Purchase, Stores and Dispatch departments.
• Check drawings, BOMs and production requirements before starting jobs.
• Ensure compliance with quality, safety and production standards.
• Identify production delays, bottlenecks and process issues and take corrective action.
• Maintain production reports, job cards and daily progress records.
• Guide and supervise production engineers, supervisors, operators and technicians.
• Control material wastage and improve productivity.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and implementation of 5S and safety practices.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve production efficiency and reduce costs.
