Job description

Establish the detailed manufacturing processes of the job utilizing your experience and coordination with lead factories for implementing their best processes and practices. Drive the culture of continuous improvements and take lean initiatives. Drive and coordinate the execution of Machine Shop operations, machining and assembly processes related to machining wing to wing with SQDC Zero deviation in Safety and Quality. Ensure alignment of different stakeholders to achieve OTD & shop Utilization.

Responsibilities

• Define and finalize the manufacturing process in the form of MOPs, MPPs, Work instructions & DRs for every component of fabrication well in advance to the start of production.
• Prepare nesting & calculate plate requirements in detail for every project of fabrication.
• Calculate fixturing item requirement as needed.
• Prepare delivery lists for dispatch.
• Validate MOP Hours and process steps with the shop.
• Coordinate and support the shop planner for project scheduling and resource mapping.
• Provide an industrial scheme for sub‑contract processes and bought‑out items based on current capacity & resource of the shop.
• Identify and resolve technical issues prior to the start and during production processes.
• Provide NCR dispositions and coordinate with engineering as applicable, implementing corrective actions for future jobs.
• Record learnings and process improvements, sustaining through continuous updates of the manufacturing process.
• Use quality and lean tools such as VSM, PFMEA, 8D, KAIZEN, and 5S.
• Empower and support shop engineers & suppliers for process change suggestions and implementation.
• Drive new product qualification and prepare related documentation.
• Continuously improve manufacturing processes using technical experience and analytical thinking.
