Job summary

MSSV Design Studio in Bangalore seeks an experienced Production Manager to own all factory operations, coordinate with carpenters and vendors, and drive on-time dispatch of finished units for domestic and commercial projects.

You will lead production teams, oversee CNC/machining and finishing, and implement BOM and material workflows with a strong focus on quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in production management or factory operations.
• Experience with furniture manufacturing, joinery, or custom interior production.
• Proven experience managing production teams (10-15 people).
• Direct experience with CNC machinery, woodworking, laminate/veneer work.
• Track record of reducing delays and improving on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Manage factory operations: CNC cutting, pressing, assembly, finishing, and quality checks.
• Build and maintain production schedules for ongoing projects.
• Coordinate with design team on project timelines and material priorities.
• Own all relationships with carpenters and vendors; carpenters and vendors contact you directly.
• Manage material procurement: track orders, verify receipt, flag shortages.
• Implement quality checkpoints: material inspection, in-process checks, pre-dispatch verification
• Build and implement BOM (Bill of Materials) process at material selection stage
• Supervise production operators; assign tasks and track progress
• Track production metrics: wastage, rework, on-time dispatch rate, cost variance
• Conduct weekly production meetings with team
• Maintain factory safety standards and compliance

About MSSV Design Studio

MSSV Design Studio is a Bangalore-based interior design and implementation studio specializing in domestic (residential) and commercial projects. We handle design, production, and site implementation end-to-end. Currently managing 20-32 active projects ranging from 15-25L in value, with project durations of 4-5 months.

Role Purpose

Own all production operations in the factory. Manage production schedules, coordinate with carpenters and vendors, oversee quality control, and ensure timely dispatch of finished units for both domestic and commercial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage factory operations: CNC cutting, pressing, assembly, finishing, and quality checks


• Build and maintain production schedules for ongoing projects


• Coordinate with design team on project timelines and material priorities


• Own all relationships with carpenters and vendors. Carpenters and vendors contact you directly


• Manage material procurement: track orders, verify receipt, flag shortages before execution


• Implement quality checkpoints: material inspection, in-process checks, pre-dispatch verification


• Build and implement BOM (Bill of Materials) process at material selection stage


• Supervise production operators. Assign tasks, track progress, maintain accountability


• Track production metrics: wastage %, rework %, on-time dispatch rate, cost variance

Required Qualifications & Experience

Experience

Technical Skills

• Ability to read 2D technical drawings (AutoCAD or equivalent)


• Familiarity with production scheduling tools


• Competency with spreadsheets and data tracking


• Working knowledge of material properties (laminates, veneer, wood, hardware, finishes)
