Job summary

Anvita Group in Hyderabad is seeking an experienced Factory Operations Manager to lead day-to-day production, streamline schedules, and optimize resources.

You will coordinate with Design, Projects, Procurement, Stores and Site Teams to ensure on-time manufacturing and dispatch, while maintaining safety, quality, and efficiency across the factory.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years in factory/production management in interiors/furniture.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry and modular furniture processes.
• Experience leading large factory workforce and multiple lines.
• Proficient in production planning and cost control.

Responsibilities

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• Manage and oversee day-to-day factory operations and ensure smooth production.
• Plan and monitor production schedules based on project requirements and site timelines.
• Coordinate with Design, Projects, Procurement, Stores, Accounts and Site Teams.
• Ensure timely manufacturing and dispatch of materials to project sites.
• Supervise production teams including carpenters, polishers, painters, CNC operators, fabricators, helpers and other factory staff.
• Allocate manpower and machinery according to production requirements.
• Monitor productivity and ensure optimum utilization of manpower, machinery and materials.
• Ensure all products are manufactured according to approved drawings, BOQs, specifications and quality standards.
• Conduct regular quality checks at different stages of production.
• Minimize material wastage, rework, rejection and production delays.
• Maintain proper inventory and coordinate with the Stores/Purchase team for material availability.
• Monitor consumption of wood, plywood, MDF, laminates, veneers, hardware, adhesives, paints, fabrics and other materials.
• Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors involved in factory production.
• Ensure preventive maintenance and proper functioning of machinery and equipment.
• Maintain production reports, material consumption records and daily/weekly factory MIS.
• Ensure compliance with factory safety, housekeeping and operational procedures.
• Identify bottlenecks in production and implement corrective measures.
• Handle employee discipline, attendance, performance and manpower requirements.
• Train and develop production staff to improve efficiency and workmanship.
• Ensure finished goods are properly packed, stored and dispatched without damage.
• Support project teams in resolving technical, production and execution-related issues.
• Continuously improve production processes, cost efficiency and turnaround time.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8-10 years of relevant experience in factory/production management, preferably within an interior design, furniture manufacturing or interior fit-out company.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry, joinery, modular furniture and interior manufacturing processes.
• Good understanding of technical drawings, BOQs, cutting lists and production specifications.
• Experience managing a large factory workforce and multiple production activities.
• Strong knowledge of production planning and inventory management.
• Good understanding of material costing and wastage control.
• Strong leadership and team-management skills.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work under tight project deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and production/ERP software is preferred.
