Job summary

Shree Hari Toys in Gujarat, Ahmedabad, seeks a Plant Manager to oversee all production units, maintenance, utilities, and warehouse operations around the clock. You will coordinate injection moulding, assembly, decoration, and packaging, align routines with monthly targets, and drive continuous improvement using OEE and yield data.

You will lead the entire plant hierarchy, optimize workforce planning for 24/7 shifts, manage budget adherence, and enforce safety and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all manufacturing units, coordinating injection moulding, assembly, decoration, and packaging departments.
• Align plant operations with monthly corporate business goals, delivery deadlines, and budgetary limits.
• Streamline workflow processes across different units to eliminate production bottlenecks.
• Analyze plant data (OEE, yield rates, capacity utilization) to continuously improve manufacturing efficiency.
• Lead the entire plant hierarchy, managing department heads, supervisors, engineers, and floor operators.
• Optimize workforce scaling, managing recruitment, shift structures, and labor costs for 24/7 operations.
• Evaluate staff performance, identifying training needs and mentoring high-potential supervisors.
• Maintain labor harmony by ensuring fair shift rotation, resolving grievances, and enforcing strict factory discipline.
• Minimize breakdown times by enforcing a strict Preventive Maintenance Schedule (PMS) for all machinery and molds.
• Manage factory utilities, supervising the upkeep of chillers, air compressors, cooling towers, and power backups.
• Control spare parts inventory, ensuring critical components are always in stock to avoid prolonged shut-downs.
• Direct breakdown maintenance teams for rapid troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic faults.
• Develop yearly plant budgets, tracking and controlling manufacturing expenses, overheads, and capital expenditure.
• Drive scrap reduction programs across all units to minimize raw material wastage.
• Implement Lean Manufacturing tools like 5S, Kaizen, and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) plant-wide.
• Ensure legal compliance regarding factory acts, environmental laws, pollution control, and local labor regulations.
