Job summary

E CON PACKAGING is seeking a seasoned Manufacturing Operations Head to lead the site with a focus on Lean production, budgeting, and strategic capex planning. You will drive production roadmaps, maintain quality and safety, and ensure smooth packaging, logistics and material flow.

The role requires strong experience in P&L, cross-functional leadership, and a track record of improving uptime and efficiency in a plant environment. MBA/PG in Operations is preferred; on-site work is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum BE/BTech in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering or equivalent; MBA/PG preferred.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality systems, plant safety and statutory compliance.
• Proven experience in P&L responsibility, budgeting and cost management at plant level.
• Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multi-department plant operations effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing, implement Lean Production and continuous improvement.
• Formulate, execute and monitor departmental budgets.

• Improve machine uptime and reduce downtime.
• Ensure safety and security standards across the factory.
• Ensure statutory and legal compliance.
• Manage emergencies and crises.
• Coordinate with HR on overtime, attendance and discipline.
• Support vendor development for materials and services.
• Manage customer complaints and ensure timely resolution.
• Strengthen supplier relationships.
• Work closely with management on manpower and operational budgets.
• Implement and monitor accurate documentation.
• Stay updated with new technologies and industry developments.
• Drive adherence to audits, compliance and system processes.
• Lead, mentor and develop the production team.
