Job summary

Avi Worldwide is seeking an experienced production supervisor to oversee daily packaging operations on site. The role focuses on planning manpower, meeting targets on time, and coordinating with Quality, Maintenance and Stores to ensure smooth production flows.

The ideal candidate has a mechanical/production engineering background, 15 years of shop-floor experience, and strong skills in planning, problem-solving and MS Excel for production reporting.

Role & responsibilities

• Monitor daily packaging production activities and ensure smooth operations.
• Plan and coordinate manpower as per production requirements.
• Ensure production targets are achieved within the given timeline.
• Monitor production output, quality, and productivity.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, and other departments for smooth production.
• Maintain daily production reports and records.
• Identify production-related issues and take corrective action in coordination with the concerned team.
• Ensure proper utilization of manpower, materials, and machines.
• Follow company safety rules, SOPs, and quality procedures.
• Ensure proper housekeeping and 5S practices on the production floor.
• Support continuous improvement activities to improve productivity and reduce wastage.

Preferred candidate profile

• Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Mechanical, Production, Automobile, Industrial Engineering or related field.
• 15 years of experience in Production, preferably in the Automobile / Auto Components / Rubber / Manufacturing Industry.
• Hands‑on experience in shop‑floor production and manufacturing operations.
• Good knowledge of production planning, manpower handling and production target achievement.
• Knowledge of machine operation, machine setting, process parameters and changeover activities.
• Experience in rubber moulding processes such as Compression, Transfer or Injection Moulding will be preferred.
• Good understanding of production planning, cycle time, productivity, rejection, rework, scrap and downtime.
• Ability to handle and coordinate with operators, helpers and production workers.
• Good knowledge of 5S, Safety, SOPs, Work Instructions and process discipline.
• Ability to identify production bottlenecks and process‑related issues and coordinate with Quality and Maintenance teams for resolution.
• Good knowledge of MS Excel, production reports and documentation.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, communication and team‑coordination skills.
• Ability to work in a shift‑based manufacturing environment.
• Candidates with experience in automotive components / rubber moulding / plastic moulding / engineering manufacturing will be preferred.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, OEE and continuous improvement will be an added advantage.
