Job summary

Aashirwad Filcomps is seeking a hands-on Rubber Moulding Production Lead to manage day-to-day operations and hit daily/monthly targets. You will actively set Tung Yu Rubber Moulding machines, tune parameters, perform changeovers and troubleshoot process issues end-to-end.

The role requires strong experience in Rubber Compression, Transfer and Injection Moulding, with a focus on reducing downtime, improving cycle times and achieving optimal OEE on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• 47 years of relevant experience in Rubber Moulding Production.
• Hands-on experience with Tung Yu Rubber Moulding Machines.
• Strong practical knowledge of Rubber Compression, Transfer and Injection Moulding.
• Independently handling machine setting, mould setting, parameter setting and troubleshooting.
• Experience in reducing rejection, scrap, rework, downtime and cycle time.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Rubber Moulding Production operations and ensure achievement of daily/monthly production targets.
• Perform machine setting, parameter setting, changeovers and process troubleshooting on Tung Yu moulding machines.
• Troubleshoot machine and process issues to minimize downtime and maintain smooth production.
• Optimize compression, transfer and injection moulding processes for stable production.
• Monitor cycle time, machine utilization and OEE; address rework and scrap.
• Conduct mould setting, changeovers and support mould trials/new mould development.
• Identify root causes of recurring problems and implement corrective actions with Quality, Maintenance and Tool Room.
• Plan manpower, machines, moulds and resources for efficient production.
• Ensure production adheres to process parameters, SOPs and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Planning, Stores and Mixing/Compounding teams.
• Train operators on operation, parameters and safe working practices.
• Drive Kaizen, 5S, TPM and productivity initiatives on the shop floor.
• Maintain production records and downtime analysis.

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day Rubber Moulding Production operations and ensure achievement of daily/monthly production targets.
• Strong hands-on involvement in Tung Yu Rubber Moulding Machines machine setting, parameter setting, changeovers and process troubleshooting.
• Troubleshoot machine and process-related issues to minimize downtime and ensure smooth production.
• Handle Compression, Transfer and Rubber Injection Moulding processes and optimize process parameters for stable production.
• Monitor and improve cycle time, machine utilization, OEE, rejection, rework and scrap.
• Conduct Mould setting, mould changeover and support mould trials / new mould development.
• Identify root causes of recurring production/process problems and implement corrective actions in coordination with Quality, Maintenance and Tool Room.
• Plan and utilize manpower, machines, moulds and production resources effectively.
• Ensure production is carried out as per approved process parameters, SOPs, Control Plan and quality requirements.
• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Planning, Stores and Mixing/Compounding teams for smooth production.
• Train and guide operators on machine operation, process parameters, quality requirements and safe working practices.
• Drive Kaizen, 5S, TPM and productivity improvement initiatives on the shop floor.
• Maintain production records, downtime analysis, rejection analysis and daily production MIS.
• Ensure adherence to 5S, safety, housekeeping and discipline on the production floor.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 47 years of relevant experience in Rubber Moulding Production, preferably in Automotive / Auto Components.
• Hands-on experience with Tung Yu Rubber Moulding Machines is highly preferred / mandatory for this role.
• Strong practical knowledge of Rubber Compression, Transfer and/or Injection Moulding.
• Should be capable of independently handling machine setting, mould setting, process parameter setting and troubleshooting.
• Good understanding of curing/vulcanization, cycle-time optimization and moulding defects.
• Experience in reducing rejection, scrap, rework, downtime and cycle time.
• Should have experience in manpower handling and shop-floor production management.
• Knowledge of OEE, Kaizen, 5S, TPM and Lean Manufacturing will be an advantage.
• PVC / Plastic Injection Moulding exposure will be an added advantage.
• Automotive rubber component manufacturing experience will be preferred.
• Candidate should be hands-on, technically strong and solution-oriented, with the ability to independently troubleshoot production and machine-related problems.
