Job summary

Career Tree Hr Solutions is seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Professional in Gujarat (Sanand) to manage procurement of goods, services and components. You will support cross-functional teams, negotiate with suppliers, and ensure cost, quality and delivery targets are met.

The ideal candidate has 3–10 years in purchasing, a business/commerce or manufacturing/engineering background, and strong SAP and Excel skills.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of experience in purchasing or procurement.
• Relevant business/commercial or manufacturing/engineering degree/diploma preferred.
• Experience in a purchasing team is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of purchasing, negotiation, and cost breakdown.
• Proficient computer skills with SAP and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Purchase goods, materials, components or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets.
• Support the purchasing function and communicate any supply problems which may impact on business operations.
• Prepare reports and updates as and when required.
• Adhere to any health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and wellbeing of self, staff and visitors.
• Prepare and raise purchase orders and order schedules.
• Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications.
• Ensure that a professional and consistent approach is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.
• Ensure compliance to company guidelines, purchasing policies and procedures and OJEU guidance during supplier negotiations and contracts award process.
• Conduct research for new components and suppliers.
• Compile data relating to supplier performance to enable evaluation.
• Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues.
